I guess I'm the only one here who watched the English Dub.

I love every minute of this show and it's one of the best I've ever seen. Excellent way to end the series. All I'm hoping for is a dub of the next two series. Please, I need more!

The scene where Chiaki jumped out of the taxi, followed Nodame, and embraced her from behind has to be one of the best I've seen. Beautifully executed scene.
She said, "Don't make others suffer for your personal hatred."

Wonderful. Everything was downright perfect. I couldn’t ask for anything more with such a flawless ending ♥

I cried when Chiaki embraced Nodame, then her father showed up and I couldn’t stop laughing. Loved the series to bits~♥

Now on to watch the second season~

I am not sure why everyone is crying here but I did enjoy the scene… more like a "finally, we all knew this was coming someday!" kind of reaction. Probably because I am a guy and I lost a part of my heart somewhere along the way.

Enjoyed the series as a whole, I'll continue onto season 2. I am unfamiliar with most of the musical terms but still enjoyed the music even if I barely listen to classical. This series has inspired me to listen to it more and I have some more appreciation for the music and everything that's involved in presenting it. Though, it got a bit repetitive to me. The formula being this:

1. Practice
2. Play a Concert
3. Everyone is in shock and loves Chiaki and the orchestra.
4. The End (or repeat and rinse).

If there was one thing I did not get, it was how everyone always was like "zomg, I cannot believe this is not butter!" whenever the music played. I realize that it's probably just a matter of taste and probably some exaggeration was in there for the "Lulz" and sometimes it was just awesome to see Chiaki pwn so I didn't really mind. Regardless, I would've liked it if Chiaki had some more serious failures and a person to "compete" with to the top. It seems like I may just get that in the next season..

Overall, I rated this a 9. Sorry for the review :p

I was totally surprised on how well this anime was done. Definetly one of the betters animes I have watched in a long while. I could not really find a thing I disliked about it.
I can't wait to see more Nodame in the next season.

But if they are goign to Europe I guess I wont be seeing much of Mine-kun and the others which kinda sucks because I really liked all the characters in the story.

Beautiful show and beautiful ending. It wasn't tearjerking, but the scene where Chiaki suddenly hugs Nodame from behind was wonderful.

Overall, this series was just about flawless, awesome balance of comedy, music, and drama. The only area I would really criticize it in is animation, but I suppose if every concert was fully animated the production costs would've gone straight through the roof. Maybe it could have also used some more conflict or tougher trials, but the last 7 episodes really were astounding in that regard.

10/10, looking forward to completing the next two seasons soon :D

completely agree with this, i actually give it an 8/10

not enough "adversity" and character/romantic development throughout the middle of the series. regardless the ending was very satisfying

I loved the part where Chiaki passed Nodame in the taxi & when Chiaki was catching up tp her, she still didn't notice & then HE HUGGED HER!!! :)

It was a GREATTTTTT anime. Each episode was hilarious. & the music...

& the episodes all felt like 5 mins instead of 22 mins! So I'll pretty much watch about 4 episodes a day to make it felt like I've watched 20 mins of Nodame Cantabile. :)) <3

Watching the sequel... though its kind of different, but loving it so far. :D

Love it love it omg loved it. I held off on watching this because I thought a music themed anime would be boring even though I play the piano.

Even after rewatching this the second time around, I still can't believe that I absolutely adored it! XD I know the ending.. the second and third seasons are still fresh on my mind... read the manga from first to last chapter... read the opera-hen!

But it still freaking made me laugh like crazy... shouted Mukyaaah~! a thousand times... And fell in love with the characters all over again! Best josei ever! Nodame is the most unique and well-rounded female character that I have ever met... And gosh, Chiaki-sama is so *heart*! XD still a 10/10!

I was definitely touched by the ending of Nodame Cantabile. I never expected Chiaki to do that for Nodame's sake! I'm still on the verge of tears as I type this down (I just started watching the anime two days ago. :D)

Going to watch the next season!

A 10/10 for this anime! ♥
