What happened to the times when each light novel adaptation brought us something fresh and unique.

The market has become saturated with too many light novels (I blame Haruhi) and thus quality is not an issue anymore.

Now even harem series are being written in light novel form its jarring....

Did I ever mention Kanokon was based off a LN? Not that I ever watched it but hey

Otherwise, yeah, they are just sticking to used formulas that will guarantee about break-even sales. I mean, just look at the viewer ratings for stuff like Yojohan.

What IS the point of these harem/bishoujo light novels anyway? If the main attraction is pretty girls, then why write a work that is 80% text and 20% images?

Novels should be works which have intricate plots which would be difficult to using any other medium. Otherwise, the writer should try to write a visual novel (a video game, so completley different from a light novel) instead.

Replace "Dragon" with "Dino" and then we can start talking.

Surprised no-one's mentioned the Haruhi look-a-like on the scan...

Fff the word dragon in connection to the name "Rose" makes me think of American Dragon. Even though this sounds NOTHING like American Dragon otherwise. XD
Art reminds me of Hayate no Gotoku.

Probably won't watch. -shrug-
