I was wondering wether you could implement another column in the anime (and manga) list, which would be the MAL score. I'm having frequent discussion wether quantity is better than quality, but compiling a list of the score of every single series in my list is an impossible task, and I imagine it shouldn't be so hard to implement.

What do you think?

As this is a suggestion and not a bug/question;

I don't see why quantity should even be good considering anime/manga. I mean about watching anime it's about quality and not how much you have watched.

Ok so lets assume you have the score on the right side. Now what? You change your score to what it says there? =P

I'm against it as I would be far more annoying then useful to have it on my list.

I am for adding this in only one case.. For it to be removable column like others in Anime/Manga list.

I disagree, but if it's gonna be optional then I don't mind.

Exactly, I think quality is way more important, and that way you could compare the quality of the shows you've watched. It's hard to simply argue over opinions.

Of course it would be optional, like all the other columns you can choose.

People don't watch a statistic to determine what they like. ;D

Is your own opinion worse then that of someone else? Of course it isn't, so don't just throw it away.

No, my point is, that in a discussion, each part has their own opinion, and with this, there would also be a third part, the MAL score. I do realize many people don't use the score at all, but I take it as a benchmark when looking at series I may want to watch. So in my plan to watch list, if I can't determine what to watch next, I could just start with the one with the highest score.

This feature would not contribute that much to functionality on MAL, but if it is easy to implement, it would be neat.

Oh I see now where you're going with this. That's not a bad idea.

If this goes through, then how about a column with the average score from people on your friend list as well?

Right? :)

Well, I imagine that could be quite a strain on the servers, if you have lots of friends and it needs to gather scores from all those friends. I think it is good enough that you can see the difference in scores for each friend on their profile. But I'm open for suggestions.

I don't think the servers will be much of an issue in this case compared to coding it.... which won't take priority over 90% of the stuff on Xinil's To-Do list.

It would be nice to be able to have an option to show the global average score on your own list.

especially useful for plan to watch list. can see which of the animes i plan to watch have the highest global average and work on those first

Yup I think it would be great to have such feature, too many to watch, too lazy to search manually ~500 anime for scores and sort them.

Duplicate suggestions:

http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=412369&show=0 0 repalys

I was just having this struggle and thinking, "wow, wouldn't it be nice if the MAL score was also an option for my columns? I should suggest it on the forums." And then I read this. ^^ So YES, I love this idea, and I feel like it wouldn't be hard to implement either.

That's a good idea. Mathes's idea is good too.

I'm Italian, so forgive me for grammar errors.
