This is just like the haruhi movie ppl just voting high cuz they wanna be like everyone else Damn right. I would take this over Lucky Star and Shakugan no Shana any day. Lucky Star is episode upon episode of pointless and Shakugan no Shana is extremely overrated. Don't get me wrong, they are both decent shows, but in my opinion not nearly as good as Angel Beats! |

PLEASE READ THIS!!! It is said that the DVD & Blu-ray only episode is a Special, not an OVA. I read that a Special is a bonus episode that is connected with the main plot, but it doesn't continue it like an OVA. There were more other information, but the main point is that there were writen that "You can just skip such an episode and you won't miss a thing from the series. It is connected with the plot, I mean works with it, but doesn't change the current position." . It's a bit sad. This means that this episode won't tell more about the events; I mean it won't show how others disappeared or what happens in the real life. |

Shakugan no Shanna is a long term ongoing project. A new series is supposed to be released shortly. It will probably be one of those shows that show up every few years. It's great to watch, and it is very exciting. Personally i never cared for lucky star. Angel Beats, was a moving mini series that left the mind open to imagination. As mentioned by the author, it was cut and butchered in the making of the anime, but the story line was correct. The reason that Angel Beats is an anticipated OVA or special release, and people will speculate about both ways to the extreme, is that this show has left room for so many unanswered questions. The fact that the ending had so many interpretations by different people was spectacular to watch, almost no one understood it in the same way. Who was really alive and in a comatic state, and who was real? Was it all just made up? Was passing on really waking up? At the end is it really our main character tries to catch up to Kanae? Facts Known: Kanae received Buddy's heart. He was the only one who couldn't move on per say probably meaning he is dead. Also taking into consideration budhism and asian culture, re-incarnation is also a high possibility, although we saw at the end when both alive. Although there was no distinction in age, it could possibly have been buddy's reincarnation or such other possibility. See how easy it is to go one and speculate this series? that is why it is so popular and high rated, too many unanswered questions + a bombardment of emotions in the last few episodes. |

There is no such thing as an "over-rated" series on this site. IF it's highly rated it's because those who watch it..Rate it high. Why ? because they enjoy it. Angel beats is ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS that can take drama and make it..Funny. It's one of two shows in anime, that has EVER consistently made my chuckle-and then it has moments where it makes me think, it makes me almost cry. Yes, this series is a solid 8.3 or 8.4 for me. If it was a 25-26 episode series and could cover more of the story and develope characters more fluidly it very well could have gone down as potentially my favourite anime of all time. Unfortunetly it was choppe and screwed, the ending is solid enough to say there's no second series..But it's open enough that they could FORCE ONE if they chose to. Force a second season ? I won't watch it, it'll ruin this show for me. Signature removed. Please follow the signature rules, as defined in the General Forum Guidelines! |

Your logic makes sense but that isn't entirely true because of how MAL's rating system works. Your vote only counts if you've seen 1/5 of a series, so long series like Gintama and LoGH will weed out the voters who dropped it early because they didn't like it (like me with Gintama) and get boosted as a result. Sequel series/movies suffer (benefit?) from the same thing; people who didn't like the first aren't as likely to continue. In this way, 8 of the top 10 (9 if you see the RK OVA as something to be watched after the main series) on this site could be seen as overrated (Technically all 10 since the disenfranchisement always occurs, but when you get to the point where only 5-6 episodes need to be seen for a score to count the difference becomes minimal). |

I had high expectations for Angel Beats! being a Clannad fan, but it disappointed with a lot of plot holes. If the plot had developed over 26 episodes, it would have been much better. It is a good series, nonetheless, but it didn't meet my expectations, I'm sure many people feel the same way. Whatever the case may be, I'm waiting for Gundam 00 ~A Wakening of the Trailblazer~ now, I want it now. D= |

Lucky Star probably has 10 episodes that are actually meaningful, and the rest is just slice of life randomness that is a dime a dozen. Like Azumanga Daioh, just not as well done. Like I said, Lucky Star is a decent show, just not the best. And it is so ironic that you claim that I don't understand it because I never leave my room when this series is aimed at people who actually never leave their room. :/ Angel Beats has good characters and good humor, which is enough to amuse me. And that's what anime is supposed to do. @ Benniman I completely agree. |

Erm, just checked the official website. On the DVD page for DVD 7 (http://www.angelbeats.jp/bd_dvd/pac07.html), which will include the unaired episode, a small banner was added. Not too much of an information though. Inside, it has stated that the DVD special is entitled "Episode 13 Another Epilogue". With that kind of title, I'm sure that all of you know what it means. Yes, it's another version of the epilogue seen at the end of episode 13. The original Japanese text: 第13話アナザーエピローグ制作決定!! TV放映版とは異なる第13話エピローグ部分(Cパート)を新たに制作! BD&DVD第7巻に特典映像として収録します!! また、10月末にはアナザーエピローグのキービジュアルを公開予定!! English Translation: Episode 13 Another Epilogue Production Decision!! The episode 13 epilogue portion (Part C) seen differently from the TV telecast version is being newly produced! It will be included in the 7th BD&DVD as a special bonus animation!! Also, there will be the showing of the Key Visual of Another Epilogue at the end of October!! Well with that kind of news, this unaired episode is much to look forward to. ^^ But I wonder what the last line means... O.O Modified by earthfairys, 10-04-10, 8:57 AM |

O.O http://myanimelist.net/anime/10067/Angel_Beats!_Another_Epilogue/ I found this link on "Add to list" page, but when I search with "ordinary" search box on the top of MAL, I can't find it, wonder why?
