I enjoyed it. It's kind of like Rurouni Kenshin, but with guns. |

Yeah, I read the first few volumes and I enjoyed it. It's hard to find any real flaw, unless you don't like shounen. |

Its a very atypical Shonen fare. There's nothing groundbreaking about this series, but its still good. The plot isn't anything to write home about, but if there's one point the series shines in is characters. ![]() |

It's not very original in any aspects, but it's a solid read. The art is great, especially during the action sequences. A completed manga too, hard to come across shounen manga like that nowadays. |

I finished reading it a few weeks ago. It has a Rurouni Kenshin-type feel to it, only in another world and more modern. It has the same kind of fights and such, only with guns too. I enjoyed it and would recommend it only if you like those kinds of series. Now I can't recommend the anime because I honestly didn't see it. ![]() |

I think it fits him just because the 2 of them are similar. The only real difference is Train doesn't have a love interest during the series. The only reason I don't recommend the anime is cause they cut some of the stuff out of it, and it's short for some lame reason. |

I was thinking that too for his VA, but I was a little bit disappointed. The anime started with Saya still around for a good part of it. Train also kinda has that assassin way too, which kinda takes away from the series. I don't recommend the anime, but the manga is good. ![]() |

They changed way too much, so yeah I agree, just read the manga.>_> |

Personally I thought it was better than I anticipated (maybe because I watched the anime first and was shocked at how random the last arc was) and there's an even blend of storyline and action. But I think they gave the wrong priorities to characters, sometimes. ![]() |

It thought it was pretty average across the board. It's an issue with taste, though. I thought it was quite boring for one key factor -- I had already seen everything it was trying to offer done better somewhere else. So really, if I were to make a recommendation, I'd say it's a second tier work in terms of quality that you'd only read if you like the genre or have read (or watched) a lot of the similar but better works already. |

The manga is great, the anime is horrible. In the manga you can't help but to like Train (in my opinion), and it has a colorful cast of characters and it isn't the same thing over and over. |

Are you kidding me? Black Cat's the manga that got me initiated into manga! It's great! Definitely give it a try. |

I liked it, it was nothing brilliant, but it was very entertaining with a good plot and great characters. So pretty much, a reiteration of every post so far :) |

I think the simple answer to this thread is: no, it's not any good. It's not even bad, which is an even worse fate, it's so mediocre I find it hard to sum up any effort to give any kind of strong opinion on it. Just read any other shonen manga, chances are it'll have an extra spark that makes it stand out from the crowd. Leave Black Cat in the crowd. |
