| For those who want to know the title of the music playing while Spike was falling, the title is "Green Bird" You can hear it on youtube. Also, the piece playing near the end (Spike being bashed by Faye) is called "Piano Bar I" just for those interested. :) |

| Everyone look and learn, that is what a villain is like, and this is how you make a masterpiece. There's a glimpse at Spike's past, and although it's not much, you can actually learn a lot from what is shown if you look carefully. There is a familiar face, possibly a lover, there's a friend/companion, as well as betrayal and "death". I loved the way they introduced Vicious, one of the most artistically and obscure entrances of a main's nemesis. We also take from this episode that Mao, the bounty, was the leader of Red-Dragon, a sort of Mafia from where Spike and Vicious made their name. Though it seems Vicious has an agenda of his own and betrayed the group killing Mao. He also learns that Spike is alive (probably due to Mao's last words) and sets up a trap. Then the Cathedral scene happens. I don't like to use the word perfect, but everything about this episode was flawless, perfect in my eyes. This episode is my favorite of the first part and is among my favorite episodes of all time. There's so much thrill, mystery, development and emotion all the while a beautiful soundtrack plays. Vicious is truly a fallen angel, the way he moves, the way he talks, the way he lurks in the shadows. A real entity of fear and darkness. See You Space Cowboy... |

| All I have to say is "God damn, what an episode". The scenes from when Spike walks up to the church all the way to when he falls is fucking excellent. That's great, great, great directing. One of the best episodes I've seen in anime. |

| Even after re-watch, this is still one of my favourite episodes. The tension created at the start in the scene with Jet and Spike was amazing, and Spike falling from the church is one of the most memorable scenes in the whole series. For those of you who have not yet completed Cowboy Bebop, do not click the spoiler below if you do not wish to be spoiled. If, like me, you are currently re-watching this fantastic show, then please do. |
