TV-Nihon, the original fansubbers of Garo, of course! http://www.tvnihon.com/

But I keep forgetting who can use torrents and who can't...

However, their forums also have direct download links for Garo (and most of their other subbed series)! http://tvnihon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=220 (Probably have to be registered and logged in to see this thread).

Ohhh! I almost forgot about this one, which I recently found:

http://pinkujisatsu.livejournal.com/

I haven't used it yet, but apparently it's pretty popular.

And to find subtitles for asian movies:
http://www.kloofy.net/modules/news/ (need to register first)

Another place to download dramas/movies/OSTs :
http://asiandvdclub.org/ (you have to register first)

Good place for downloading with torrent (apparently):
http://fss.omnilounge.co.uk/browse.php?search=Japan&blah=1&cat=1 (register first)

More download links:

@algelic: I've been using FSS for a couple years and it IS awesome. But the site recently moved a few months ago (used to be fst.omnilounge.co.uk) and upgraded so it doesn't have as large a pool of torrents yet as it used to (but thanks to being a veteran user I was given 10 gigs of free upload credit when the new site went online! Yay!). If registration isn't open, I have 3 invites I can share with anyone that wants one.

FSS is similar to Avistaz, for those who use it, but FSS doesn't allow any licensed films. They're less strict about ratio at FSS, I think. I'm waiting for them to add back the feature from FSS 1.0 that made it so you suffered no penalty to your ratio if you were the only leecher on the torrent, too. XD Right now they have Duckies/Golden torrents (free leech for all) though, so that's awesome.

I LOVE Kloofy!
http://subscene.com/ is also good for subtitles.

Also for Asian movies, The Pirate Bay is a good source if you like torrents!

lol. I don't know [m]any direct download communities/sites because I am a devout torrent user. XD But you guys are awesome with all the links to them! =D My little contribution:

http://4megaupload.com/ A MegaUpload search engine! I have found some stuff with this that I could not find anywhere else! Haven't tested it on anything but music, though. Search for "Dear Cloud" and grab their first album, by the way! They're an awesome light rock Korean band and their debut music video, Ice Fortress, featured Kim Jae Wook (Waffle Sun Ki from Coffee Prince)!

Where can I find the movie "Linda Linda" ?

So far I only found it in IdolsUnlimited, but it won't work because some parts have expired.

It's "Linda Linda Linda" =P

Well... There's a torrent on Avistaz. It's 1.37 gigs, tho, with 6 seeders and 2 leechers (so your average torrenter would get good speeds on that).

But I also found parts of it using this handy dandy MegaUpload search engine: http://4megaupload.com/ I'm sure you can get it all through here. The part I glanced at was linked from http://www.newsasia-ddl.com/article-12496846.html

The site is in French so I don't know what the subtitles are, if there are any. I can grab them from Kloofy though, if you end up needing them.

^hey did you find any yet?

well, there seemed to be a request for a drama streams site floating around here so i did a little looking...

CR is still the fastest way to watch dramas online, but they are real good about discontinuing streams of licensed dramas, so i found an alternative from Veoh and youtube, and here it is: http://aznv.tv/en/drama/

they look kinda crappy but the have a good list of asian dramas including licensed titles you cant watch on CR, which includes.... beautiful life, HYD, Alone in love, attic cat, delicious proposal (korea), full house, glass slippers, happy together, hotelier (korea), IWGP, jumong, cats eyes, kurosagi, lawyers, love letter, my lovely sam-soon, rondo....
blah blah, etc etc... =)

That might be hard to get together, but I can try. xD; I'll edit this post with my list as soon as I finish remembering everything.

UPDATEY!

Gokusen 1, 2, Graduation Special
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, both Specials, musicals, Kirari Live
Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu (Hana Kimi Chinese/Taiwanese)
Ace wo Nerae, the Special
Trick 1, 2, 3, TV Special
Meteor Garden 1, part of 2 (I didn't think I could take the emotion. o_o I cried during the first one. But I'll probably finish it eventually.)
Zhan Shen MARS
Nobuta wo Produce
Peach Girl
Akihabara@deep, Movie/Special
Princess Princess D (It was still airing when I started, so I haven't finished it yet.)
Tantei Gakuen Q (I don't remember if I finished it or not. xD I think this was airing when I started, too.)
Romantic Princess
Dance Drill
Bump Off Lover
Cutie Honey (All the episodes weren't uploaded when I started it. Needs to be finished.)
Toy Reanimator (Movie)
Great Teacher Onizuka, Special
Gal Circle
Innocent Steps (Movie)
KO One (Didn't finish it. I got bored. D: It moved too slow. But knowing me, I'll go back and finish it just because I started it.)
Arch Angel (Movie)
One Missed Call (Drama)

These are the ones I've watched online. I've got some Asian stuff mixed in on DVD's that I can't go through right now. Too many of them. But there shouldn't be too many missing from the list. Most of what I have on DVD is movies, and not drama series anyway.

I know I need to finish the ones marked, but I'm not in the mood for them right now. xD; I will eventually finish them, though.

Ohoh. I wonder if you could help me with a title of a movie I've been trying to find for a while, too? I saw it at Blockbuster once and wanted it, but couldn't get it.
I remember something about "The Haunting of ----" I know it wasn't Japanese. It was either Taiwanese, Chinese, or Korean. Theres a woman on the cover, with long hair. I think the cover is done up mostly in brown tones/colors, or just generally darker stale colors. D: It isn't much to go off, but I really want to get that movie.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated! >w<;

that is like super vague ^_^ most scary movies have a pic of a woman covered by her hair. try chinky's blog. do a search of horror flicks and browse thru the movies, they all have pics. but what immediately comes to mind is the classic ju-on or maybe ringu. but they wouldnt be translated as "the haunting"

I know it wasn't Ju-on or Ringu, those were on the shelf beside that movie. "The Haunting of" and some girls name after that. - I'm probably going to feel a bit stupid for this, but... Chinky's blog? xD

i just like that the guys were hotter in the jversion, but i could see that the twversion stuck more to the original, but then again they had more eps to do it in. it was more intense too right?

I fell in love with the F4 boys in the Tversion first. xD Though.. if I remember right, Matsumoto Jun played in the Jversion and I really like him, too.

I have no idea which stuck to the original more, since I had never read the manga, or seen the anime (assuming it has an anime). I jumped into the fun without knowing anything. xD Maybe that was part of it for me.

Kind of like how if I watch an anime in its English dub first, I'll probably always prefer or at least hold a special place for that version of the show. (Sailor Moon as an example. I know the dub sucks a crapload, but it introduced me to anime and I will ALWAYS hold a nice little spot in my heart for it. But the subs are better.)

And yes. o_o It was intense. I cried, and fangirl'd, and giggled, etc. a whole lot. x_X; I didn't even finish the second season because I wasn't sure I could take it after I read the description. I mean, they went through ALL of that to be together and then.. THAT has to happen!? DDD:

By the way.. I've been wondering for a while, what drama or movie did the stamp on the front page come from? It's the one right on the left of the Trick stamp. Two guys on either side of a girl. She's kind of creeping me out a bit, so now I kind of wand to watch whatever it is that it's from. xD

I've always sort of wondered what drama all of the stamps are from, although I know most of them already.

The one in question, between Trick and Coffee Prince, looks to be a Korean drama about a love triangle.

Which doesn't really narrow it down very much. I wish I recognized one of the actors but I haven't seen that many Korean dramas.

I think it's safe to assume that it was made in the last 5 or 6 years, as well. XD

If it is, I might just go watch it. o_O I enjoyed Overboard the first few times I saw it. An asian counterpart sounds interesting.

Though.. the girl in the "Fantasy Couple" picture on D-addicts doesn't look nearly as creepy as the one in the stamp. xD; She just.. looks so doll-like. I like dolls, but.. >>;

And, you should go watch Meteor Garden. xD It's great, and it's never bad to get a good dosing of Jerry, Vaness, Vic, and Ken.

Nayoko-Kihara, the drama is called "Dal Ja's Spring" and it is an excellent drama. If you ever watched "My Name Is Kim Sam Soon" then you will also enjoy "Dal Ja's Spring". The drama "Couple of Fantasy" is also good, if you enjoyed the move "Overboard" you will love this drama more. =)

P.S. I made two fan mvs of "Dal Ja's Spring" if you want to take a peek of what the drama will be like.

A show I watched once and loved just popped into my head tonight when I was thinking of things I might be able to get my sister to watch/try, but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

I remember a girl that wants to make Jewelery (at the beginning she's dressed up as a rich woman, and is pulling a fake sale with her male partner. They get caught and she ends up taking the rap for him, and staying in jail for a while.), and a family that heads a sort of Jewelery company.

The son of the man that heads it ends up handcuffed to her near the beginning. Theres also another female character whose father escapes Jail around the middle/end of the series, and comes back to try and kill her for turning him in when she was a little girl.

The girl and the boy that ended up handcuffed together, fall in love, and eventually get married I believe. Theres also someone elses little baby girl that she ends up taking care of (the man she used to date and fake Jewelery sales with, had married/dated a waitress who birthed their child and died, I believe. The baby needed some kind of surgery to live and the Jewelery-making girl had to get the money by promising the Jewelery-Company/Empire boys father that she would never see him again, and he gave her the money), and she grows up into a child during the show.

I'd really love it if someone could give me the title of this show. It's killing me. And I'm really sorry if the description is kind of wacky. I can remember a few other things about the show if it isn't enough. >w<
