THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- -THEY ARE THE SHADOWS, THE REFLECTIONS OF THEIR TRUE SELVES!  -Another shining moment by Kanade and fan favorite, TK. But I have to say, it was a pretty decent fight scene. If this show does anything right, it has impressive looking action sequences. -So, the shadows convert people into NPCs? Well, that explains why they are there in the first place, but how does it play into the whole 'Limbo' and 'God' aspect of the series? Anybody else think this series is a prime example of 'identity crisis'? I thought it was a decent episode. It was quite interesting to see how the shadows turned out to be, I really didn't thought about that. Also Yuri was pretty cool this episode. I think these are some possibilities for the future episodes: 1) In the next two episodes lots of characters disappear/turn into a NPC, except the core characters. (and naoi fanboying otonashi). They'll finish it for once and for all. 2) They decide they want to stay together to help Yuri whatever, and pull one final SSS (with Kanade finally ''accepted'') act together and god knows what happens after that. 3) The ''final enemy'' probably is one of them (Chaa?), simply introducing a new character would pull down the drama factor. The title for the next episode is quite interesting, Angel Beats! sure turned out to be unpredictable at some points.  |
