Gangler said: Yeah, this is a definite case of Moar is more. Like what if they just never stopped? We could keep deciding larger and larger numbers but who says it has to be finite?0o0 Good series have an ending. Bad series go on forever. Mind you of Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and some other.. Those are the bad ones. Mind you of FMA, Elfen Lied and many other.. Those are the good ones. |

yeah, I'm pretty sure I stated how facetious right there in the post. That means you're not supposed to take it seriously. I'm aware of the problems that arise when a series doesn't end, but more than that, infinite episodes is supposed to sound ridiculous. Maybe I'm misinterpreting you, but it almost looks as if you're treating my proposition that the series continue on and on through the very eternities, long after our planet has ceased to be and the cosmos themselves have erased any trace that we once were for future alien astronomers to find were they to decide to look, it looks like you're treating such a proposal seriously. If you want my opinion regarding show lengths. I think to take an epic from start to finish 50 episodes is ideal. 100 episodes can provide a bit more of a journey if a skilled writer is behind it. And if the focus is actually entirely on the journey, and the resolution is irrelevant then I feel 300 is the maximum number of episodes one can expect before even the diehard fans get fed up with it. But If the intention is actually to tell a story with a beginning, middle and end, then it shouldn't go too far past 100. That being said, I'm an enormous sucker for this show. As such I feel that wanting more of this show I enjoy is perfectly natural, especially given that the source material keeps going for quite some time. At volume 12 we'll be just past halfway through the series, there is plenty of room to go past 24 episodes on this season, though I don't suspect they will. Long post I know, honestly I'm still a little taken aback by a serious rebuttal to such a ludicrous proposal. My god I still don't see how that could be interpreted as anything more than poking fun at the conversation that had been taking place thus far, as well as the almost childish level of excitement we are all feeling over this. |

Oh wow, I for sure wasn't expecting such an outburst over my post. ^^' I'm very sorry if it sounded so serious, maybe I should've used some smileys. I'm a person who loves sarcasm, so don't expect any of my posts to be meant really mean. With that said, I too can't get enough of TAMNI (as you can see in my quoted post above), that being the reason I read the Light Novels. I just wanted to emphazise the fact, that a good series should know when to stop. Naruto and the others I mentioned are just getting repetitive (imho). They go on just for the sake of going on and on and on and on. So yeah, sorry again if I made you feel offended(?), I didn't mean it. d(^_^o) (And woah, never wrote such a long post on my iTouch before. (・_・;) ) Modified by Xeo, 08-29-10, 4:44 PM |

Lol. I wasn't offended. Merely surprised. Also I'd be lying if I said I wasn't prone to overly long posts to begin with so that really has more to do with me than you. I try to keep it in check but once in a while I lapse. Never tried to post on an ipod type device before but it sounds difficult. lol, sorry for the inconvenience. Also, I can relate to the love of sarcasm and the difficulties that arise when trying to use sarcastic text. Have no worries as far as that is concerned. |

Don't worry, I use my iTouch all the time to browse the web and write stuff when I'm not at my computer. I just didn't write that much at once before. Also, it isn't that complicated, the error rate is just slightly higher because all the buttons are right next to each other and it's a bit annoying to correct it all the time. ^^" <-- Grammarnazi. ;) |

Index 2 is confirmed for 24 episodes and will start Oct. 9: http://d.hatena.ne.jp/nanamibeya/20100901/p2 I think the episode breakdown would be something like this: 1 Ouma (from vol. 5) 4 vol. 7 3 vol. 8 6 vol. 9/10 4 vol. 11 6 vol. 12/13 Of course, most of these estimates are based on the number of pages of each volume since I've only completely read volumes 8 and 12. I really wished this was 26 episodes though, so they don't rush things in vol. 12/13. But I can't wait to see those last two volumes animated. |

I think Vol 8 and Vol 11 won't be animated, Vol 8 is more about Tokiwadai, so I think they'll save that for Railgun. For Vol 11 I don't know, 'cause it's not translated on Baka-Tsuki. And with Vol 7,9/10 and 12/13, they got more than enough to do. Hopefully they don't overestimate themselves like it happened with Ichiban Ushiro no Daimou. The first half was crazy and very good, but they rushed like hell during the second half, because they couldn't fit everything in those 13 episodes if they went on with the same speed like in the first half. |

I don't think so. There are scenes that come from vol.8 in the preview. Plus, it introduces a character that's important later on if J.C. Staff does a 3rd season (which I don't see why they wouldn't if it still sells well). It's also probably the shortest volume out of the ones they're animating so it can probably be finished within 2 episodes. I don't know enough of vol.11 to comment on it. Either way, it's probably gonna be rushed. I just really hope vol.12/13 won't get the blunt of it, but it probably will. =( |

October 9th, that's roughly another 28 days or so. Plato is my friend — Aristotle is my friend — but my greatest friend is truth |

Well, and since I can't read further than vol 13, I don't really know if that move-point girl is that important. o.o I'm just finishing vol 13, chap 10 and epiloge to go. Accelerator's so FUCKING PSYCHO! <3 I love it. |

yes!!!! im sure they will from how they animated the bloody scene of the sisters arc from accelerator XD cant wait theres no doubt that what bakaonna i highly agree with that episode list because the ouma arc really should have been in the 1st season but hey im sure they can sacrifice 2 eps to make up for it as we see some very funny scenes in that arc also in waiting in anticiaption join us at the Index wikia we have a countdown and can talk 2 some of the staff resposible for making the wikia look like the way it is its pretty damn impressive http://toarumajutsunoindex.wikia.com/wiki/Toaru_Majutsu_no_Index_Wiki ![]() |

The wikia is really good, I learned much stuff about TAMNI there, that I either missed or that wasn't translated yet. (No, I'm not afraid of spoilers, I watch/read it either way.) |

Does that mean there will be even a season three? Plato is my friend — Aristotle is my friend — but my greatest friend is truth |

Does that mean there will be even a season three? Actually, season 4 is also a possibility. :P But I doubt there will ever be a season 5 tough. |
