Just wanna comment that it is really an AMAZING complete twist. I never thought it would be like that. But, I do wonder that if Rena is having that experience of hearing footsteps, why does she is still alive? Did she said that it was an "early" warning? She experienced it well, so how come nothing has happened to her, even though she is already experiencing that "early" warning experience?! Argh! I really need to finish the series now.

Things are slowly falling into place and my interest in this anime continues to grow.

Satoshi...I think that's him at the beginning of episode 9 (I mean "was" him lol ) Kinda ironic that a garbage truck passed by when Shion was crying out for him :X We can only guess...

Ok but seriously the footsteps and the Mion's hand scared the crap out of me o___o

the footsteps, that Rena mentioned. About, how you would hear ONE footsteps, then more, and more. Someone watching you, always, untill you realize your sins. The steps are really creeping me out though, @___@;


Oh, they even mention it in the end there, ha.

Everything is making sense now, I knew we'd go back in time to see what Shion had heard eventually, :D next ep !

i take my words back from the other ep =( looks like mion did defend shion yokata!! aww she went thro the same thing ... everything start to make sense little by little .... rofl you should smile most of the time but cry to gain points haha!!! loved satoko face like she was jelaous xD mion is funny ( rena on guard duty, satoko set the traps,rika throw some salt haha) her reaction is hilariuos!! but those footsteps gave me the creeps :O !! good ep !! anyways up to the next ep...xD

It's about time things start to make sense. So arc 4 is like a prequal to arc 3 and arc 5 is a prequal to arc 2 and so the next will explain arc 1 more. I can't wait for arc 6 in that case because arc 1 is my favorite so far. Rena is interesting. I want to know more about her. Every other charcter has been explained a bit so I take it the next arc will explain her.

It's bugging me though how Shion is havin a huge break down over missing Satoshi, but didn't she only talk to him like a handful of times?

Just like in the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya! Granted, this is even more shuffled xD But I like it that way. Anyway, everything is slowly starting to make more sence.
But by the looks of it, if this is the prequel of the events in arc 2, Shion goes berserk and kills Mion and her granny in this arc... But in arc 2, Mion is the one that goes berserk... Or was it Shion posing as Mion? ...Argh!! So confusing! I should had marathoned this instead... meh too late now T__T

I am also enjoying the meshing of arcs and that details of everyone are slowing being revealed in a way to create suspense.

This episode was FANTASTIC, the third step that isn't quite on time as mentioned before... then the major footsteps in the shrine. I guess Shion wasn't kidding about the loud sounds she heard in the shrine that she mentioned in the second arc.

Can't stop watching it's too good. :o

WOW. The third footstep scared the shit out of me. I love how all the arcs interlock so well, but are slightly different. One of the most amazing things about how Higurashi does things is the way it presents the curse in almost first-person view every time. We get the whole experience of hearing the footsteps, etc. Scary shit though, and I love Mion sometimes and hate her other times. Good moment was her doing the fingernail thing to herself.

Intense.

Those were the wussiest "thugs" I've ever seen.

Good thing is that things are falling into place.

Ugh, those two twins and their double personalities. I remember this was the arc when Rena was pretty cool, anyway, an amazingly entertaining episode LOL

Again with the motorcycles. You'd think that they would park their bikes at another place. The stoires are starting to connect, but it still doesn't explain why keiichi was killed twice. It also doesn't explain the first arc.

Am I the only one who laughed at the Moe reference? xD
Mions little outburst in the beginning was very cute too, when she told them to get the sumo ring ready :P

Very scary end though, damn imagine if you realised there was always one extra step behind you when you stopped :S

Wait, so the rest of you don't hear footsteps all the time?
