Gorim said: So clichés that I hate are: 1) Markmanship of the antagonists goons. You know them the faceless nameless minions who are absolutely hopeless. There are 100 of them but they can't hit the protagonists even if they are running in an open area and not even evading the bullets and these minions are using machine guns.. Just who hires these idiots?! Even I'd do better alone that what most of these goons can do in groups of 20 and these guys should be somekind of pros to be hired. 2) Persevarance of protagonists. It takes one shot in a belly to get rid of a enemy pawn, but soldiers like Guts from Berserk don't go down from just 20 or 30 arrows and sword slashes. An arrow or two which normally kill enemy soldier even though they'd hit in a foot, don't mean a thing, good man boobs stop any arrow. 3) The secret move which is used when the hero or the antagonist is just about to lose, he reveals a secret move which he came up just a second ago or before battle but for some reason didn't use it at first. 4) Idiotic enemy bosses. Like in the Bleach, they intentionally want to train their enemies by sending minions stronger by the step which heroes defeat with difficult and gain new level. For example in Bleach Arrancar section, why the hell did they send some noob espadas to Karakura City and not from 1 to 4 when they could have easily kicked every1s ass. Oh My, it's amazing as I hate every one you've listed, ahahaha x3! So, these, plus: Common, Plain, Idiotic, Highschool Boy Protagonist: I just can't stand this default character used in a lot of anime. I just can't. I know they're meant for self-insert purposes, but seriously, it's terrible. ![]() 「レミ咲が今日のティータイム。」- RemiSaku ga kyou no tea time! |

"I'll never forgive you" line. I've grown to despise that sentence with my very being. It's unbelievably overused, cliche, and stupid. Just shut up. When girls get angry at a guy because they don't remember a promise they made when they were 7. Get out. We can barely remember a month ago, let alone what we said a decade ago. Just grow up. AirStyles said: "I can kill you today, but we'll postpone this fight so you can train up and kill me" plot. This kind of thing really annoys me. -.- Also, about the love and friendship defeating evil thing,I used to be okay with it,but it kinda annoys me now. It's getting pretty old. |

Shows starting with the main character running late for school. It's not so much a cliche as an overused introduction, but the lack of creativity bugs me. People falling on top of each other, and any other form of the accidental kiss. Come on, that doesn't happen. Also, it barely serves any purpose in a story. "Look, they bumped into each other awkwardly". |

I don't know, I view this more as an homage than anything else. I don't think its necessarily lack of creativity on their part, rather its more like a wink at the audience who is familiar with it. |

Yeah, you're probably right, and sure it was cute the first time. It's just been used so often now, it feels kind of like starting a book with "it was a dark and stormy night". To me it says they couldn't think of an original way to begin the story. |

Tsunderes, being too TSUN and taking it too far by being super cold hearted, ALWAYS hitting them in a bad way, just a plain bitch. But I still love tsunderes, just not those type... I don't like it when they're tsun is too extreme or hard. ![]() |

Shuhan said: Yes. Along with his usually dumb harem whose reasons for clinging to him as almost nonexistent or make no sense. The block headed harem male lead. -That out of nowhere childhood friend/competition for a couple's love interest. Especially when they spend half or more of the series getting to that point. ALSO ALSO ALSO- Typical shounen motivation such as the o-so infamous "They're just like me. I must protect them along with my friends!" They spend like five to ten entire minutes having flashbacks (cough)Naruto(cough) DURING a fight, having inner deep thoughts when they should probably be paying attention to their impending doom. I know it's for dramatic affect, but in a lot of shounen it's TOO dramatic and bugs the hell out of me. A lot of you are pointing out the most hilarious cliches. RLinksoul said: Female character who is a living plot device. She has some kind of sacred power inside her. The villains all want her, the hero wants to protect her. Basically all eyes are on her, and nine out of ten times she doesn't contribute much other than moral support. Modified by Vyudali, 07-05-12, 5:35 PM |

Nose bleeds. I hate it when they over exagerrate it. Especially when they make it look like a huge waterfall/fountain. I find it gross and unfunny. I understand its part of anime culture but it works better when its at minimal. i.e. Guy's face is red, holding his nose and turning his head back. |

"I'll protect you!" and all those other variations. For some reason I just hate those lines with a passion. Sheesh, be more creative with your lines. Oh yeah, also power-ups coming from emotions like anger, sadness and whatever (ex. Super Saiyan). Come up with other ways to power up the main character. |

Characters that act scared or can't socialize. Characters like Yukiteru from Mirai Nikki or ever Yuuki from Tsuritama annoy me. |
