| According to Oricon news, VOCALOID Hatsune Miku's album "EXIT TUNES PRESENTS Vocalogenesis feat. Hatsune Miku" has won the top in the weekly album CD sales ranking for May 17th - May 23rd. It's for the first time that a VOCALOID CD is ranked first in the weekly CD sales ranking. The album also includes the songs of other VOCALOIDs such as Kagamine Rin, Len, Megurine Luka, Meiko and Kaito. The cover illustration was drawn by Miwa Shirow. Note that the sales of the CD, 23,000 copies, are the smallest number in Oricon's history among all the top sellers of the weekly CD rankings, reflecting the shrinkage of the CD market in Japan. The VOCALOID software is great for songwriters without singers to sing their songs, but I'm imagining the issues of unemployed potential singers now. As great as the software is, a real person singing the song is almost always more emotional. |

| Yea, although it's awesome to hear Miku's gaining popularity in the music industry, a part of me also kinda concerned about how depressed some of the minor artists would be when they realize a computer software has outdone themselves... |

| Anime, not actually popular in Japan. Everyone in Japan except like %1 of the population hate anime, it's only foreigners who think otherwise. I'm glad that sales statistics prove this claim. Seriously though, I'm always surprised when I read oricon charts threads claiming anime otaku-esque things do so well and topping the likes of Pop Divas like Ayumi Hamasaki and Koda Kumi. Furthermore, I don't think I understand the very concept very well at all. Seems like every Oricon chart I read is radically different. Is this within like an animation category or what? |

| I started listening to these songs~ They are mostly Pop/Techno, very upbeat in my opinion. But I like it because they reming of Touhou songs, especially "charActer" I still like supercell more~ |

It was just a quiet week (like how Phantom Minds, or was it Silent bible topped weekly singles? As there wasnt johnnies like Arashi or whatever). |
