Great ending. I think things rly had to happen that way. cuz in the end, the whole picture is way bigger than just Rosette or Chrno alone. This is the battle between good and evil literally. Rosette made a contract and I definitely didnt want any deus ex machina coming in there and magically getting her out of it. The danger she put herself in with the contract is what gave the show a lot of its edge. And of course Chrno would choose to die with her than take her last bit of life to heal himself and live on. Also I think Aion is like a force of evil. and evil will always exist. He's not human so you cant rly demand that he "die and go to hell". HEY, maybe he DID and they just sent him back to continue his work, ha now think about that! But srsly, the same way people keep getting the stigmata and being chosen by god etc, Aion has his stuff to do too. I dont see it as anyone winning or losing because this war is something that's rly gonna go on till the end of the world. Just because main chars die doesnt mean we "lost". And the villain is just there cuz he has some.. unfinished business lol. 8/10. Would be more if things didnt take so long to get rolling. I'm noticing that abt a lot of anime lately... |

I just finished it and I have to say that the ending was well done. I liked the tragic end of Rosette and Chrono, which is also in the manga and yet a bit different. Also the warning towards mankind. It really makes you feel small... Nice use of previous events. Likeable characters and development... The first half was quite boring, but the last ten episodes were definitely the best. Finally, an anime-only ending that actually is closed. 8/10. Only thing that lacked was a real-real good story and animation. The sad yet happy ending was really nice. |

It was a geart anime and I liked it very much, but I hate cool animes which end with the death of the main chars,it screws up the whole plot, not to mention that the "die happy" thing made it more painful |

Just finished the show. Well. Sad, but great ending to overall good show. I am not of those who feel sorry for characters usually, but I must admit Rossete crying about not wanting to die really touched me. Damn, those were some serious emotions. Oh well, it's gonna stay in my memory for a long time, just like many other classic endings. As for Aion, I really liked that guy. Great villain, really likeable character. As for his "winning" in the end, I wouldn't really call it a winning, more like fulfilling his role on this world. As long as there is world there will be evil, no matter what. |

ok thought i would clear one thing up chrono may have been a devil but what everyone fails to realise is that his body didn't vanish after he died. every other devils did even Aion, but hes didn't. which implies he has a soul and can theoretically get into heaven and probably did. Well he F**ken better have. Yes Aion was the devil and can never die. i thought the ending was horribly upsetting but it did emphasise that god will not help us, hence rossette died. he didn't jump out and give her, her time back the rat but hopefully theirs paradise on the other side and that where all just being tested. which is the real world we live in |

I've just finished watching it, i thought the ending was really great because they died together holding hands, i cried so much, but not as much as the ending to Clannad after story, Chrno Crusade was a really great anime though. |

One of the best ending a scenarist has ever come up with for an anime, ever. It truly transcends the original setting and delivers ten times more than what it was designed to be. Terrific. |

hmm in case you all did notice in the past with whats her name who could see teh future if you recall she said i GIVE YOU MY LIFE SO YOU MAY live and as such he was in the tomb with her waiting her whole life the intire ecencs. ok and thus that was why chrono died it was a mere contract so IN THE end even if rosseta had opened it there would be no point sure he would be healed but he would still die.and on the aion isue well if you rewatch ep 22-24 ypu will see the old guy and the old angle in the tomb and in there is the horns of time hmm get were in goion with this aion new hed die so he used his horns to go into the future pull him self from the past dpsting him self in the present and remeber there horns of time so no he wouldnt disapear from this but yes i hate them for not making a 2nd series and i wonder what is goining threw revrends head when he sees aion does he go runing to the order would it do any good? in the end i cry every time i watch teh series but i aslo get very pissed off for them not making a 2nd series the intire look says plot hanger! |

I guess I am the only one that thinks that they blatantly try and produce tears, the ending just felt so forced. The series failed to make me care for Rosette or Chrono at all. I did like Aion's monologue though. |

I enjoyed watching this anime but man......... I feel like all the animes ive watched recently have been depressing. I made the mistake of watching it, because honestly im depressed and all i want is an anime that doesnt end with my wanting to cry.I watched it thinking it would be a comedy/romance with a happy ending. I WAS WRONG. |

the thing about aion is that he is time, and as long as there is greed in this world, he'll continue to come. the thing is, i dont know if it would have been good if they were brought back to life, than everyone would say that was very typical. also, som SPOILERS in regards to CLANNAD AFTER STORY [SPOILERS]didnt that scene when rose was crying saying she wanted more time, didnt it remind you guys of that scene near the end of clannad after story where ushio said she wanted to go to the beach? [/SPOILERS] all in all, it ws very slow at the beginning and almost even boring at one point, and thn stuff happened, and it became an enjoyable anime, even though they died, they died the way they wanted to. but yea this really makes you think about the real world, stuff happens, and it keeps on happening and you might ask youself the same thing that jesus (sopossedly) and aion said "God? O God? why have you forsaken me?" *sigh*........im kinda depressed now. |

I plan to read the manga in the near future. To me, the anime started off slow. It was very irritating the first few episodes, then it got a bit interesting (followed a generic big bad and his troupe) but then around the last 4 episodes it did make a difference. Aion's Death was a bit fast IMO I think Remmington should've had a larger role... I'm glad that Rosette and Chrono found sanctuary and it seemed it was good to end it there. But it continued to where there was uncertainty of the future and the discussion between Sister Kate and Remmington, which was fine but it then should have ended it seemed. The last part where Aion reappears... I mean yea I guess the writers can pull something out of their ass to have a reason for him to reappear but the ending seemed so awkward... I pretty much didn't give a crap about the characters for the first 15~ episodes (archetypes seen many times) however they slightly grew on me when shit got truly real... For all the fluff at the beginning and the interesting conclusion I'd give it a 8/10 |

6/10 After Fullmetal Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, I finally found another disappointing anime that had a lot of potential. My main problem with this series is that it's been dragging for way too long. They introduce pointless characters, make the entire show really complex for no reason. This could easily have been a 12 episodes series. A lot of shounen crap was in it for no reason. Rosette is in interesting character but everyone else is blah. That last episode was probably the reason I didn't give it a 5/10. Though anti or non religious people probably hated it for the message behind it. ![]() |
