This was horrible

Horrible .. just horrible. Comes out of no where, not a fan of mecha.. and the Takumi character/actor gave to much attention to Fumino character/actor .. I dislike her personality.. Nozomi is much better imo.

so... I was pretty much pissed at everything about this episode.

The op was so damn awesome, made me remember busou renkin and kamen no maid guy.
That guy sure has a good voice.

And at the end of the day we learn that naked lolis are a good power source for giant robots.

Actually, the Brave Series in general which GGG is a part of.
Anyway, seeing as how the person who worked on this episode also worked on the Brave Series was Masahiro Yamane, a student and long time friend of Mr. Obari (director and creator of Gravion, also worked on the Brave Series) this was a treat.

Just watched this, and while it's not everyone's cup of tea, pretty much everything that happened in that episode was a trope you'd expect from the final episode of a Super Robot series. I'm not that much on Super Robot stuff but you can e.g. compare the final episode of Macross Frontier to this and see several of the same tropes.

It was definitely an *homage* and not a *parody*. Parodies subvert the tropes, this ones played them all straight. The joke itself is that they played it straight and made an entire episode which could serve as the legit final episode of a classic late 70s / early 80s super robot series. The joke is: that they didn't include any jokes or try and subvert it.

Mayoi Neko Overrun so far has been a terrible show but it was in my backlog to finish. So far this is the only episode which has remotely raised my interest. At least this episode is trying to do something creative other than being absolutely bottom-of-the-barrel low-grade harem.

This is a show within a show, as it's one of the character's favorite show that she tried to get the others to cosplay as. Actually, I think Grand Braver if they made a whole show out of it at the same level as this episode would be a much better show than Mayoi Neko itself.

What an unnecessary episode.
I understand having (half of) an episode as an homage to Gundam or Monster Hunter (think Haganai, where the Neighbor club plays Monster Hunter on their PSPs and in the episode the characters portray their in-game avatars on an adventure) or similar but a full episode for a "random" and frankly boring Gundam episode is just a weird choice.
