She is beautiful (her character design doesn't look painful in comparison to other heroines), can handle guns, has an awesome voice actress (she's from the eroge industry so no wonder she sounds sexy, also she's not like moeish), can fight in hand to hand combat, and the most important thing is, she has a lot of common sense or at least more than any heroines. Also she doesn't walk in ecchish clothes for the fanservice.

I don't think she's like Haruhi Suzumiya though.

She alot different then other female character in other animes. Your right about Yuri not looking to moeish and I thought I was the only who think she not. Btw I hate moes.
She thinks real well, have great personality, amazing fighter, and she look & sound sexy.
I was looking for stong female lead and find this to me the awsome ever. I must put her on my favorite character list on my profile soon!!!

For me, Yuri's cute, hot, competent in combat and a smart leader! Aside from that, her Perfect Zettai Ryouiki just finishes it all off. Her character design is also very soothing to the eyes. I can't really explain why but she just is. In addition, her voice is really sexy.



I think Episode 5 holds the key.

Episode 12 of Angel Beats was messy, but IMO, it have the best moment in the show, and the episode that made me love Yuri.(She's awesome and kickass to begin with, but that episode made me love her.)

She is truly a great leader for the SSS, and definitely the best character in the show.

She does have a much girlier side ^_^ Though I have to say I prefer her as a strong, strategic, caring leader. She actually surprises me over and over in the series because of how tough/smart she is... unlike most girl leader that hides and cry while letting the guys do most of the job.

I can't think of a reason to not like her. She's charismatic, level headed most of the time, and a good leader.

I feel that she's better than many "Action Girls".

She actually has a pretty consistently entertaining and interesting personality, unlike many action girls whose personality is very boring or a bit too over the top. Yuri is very balanced while still entertaining in this regard.

Her past is related to her personality and development but isn't thrown in your face too much, and I feel that her development and actions were great because of her "Cool Big Sister" Role she played.

She wasn't overly powered compared to the rest of the team, yet she was still competent in her own right even in close combat which is surprising.

Even though she's the leader she still does a lot of the physical and even some of the computer work which is impressive.

She can be a bit mean/bossy but it shows how close she feels to her group, even if she doesn't feel so till later on.

Then there was her "girly" side that showed <3

Overall I felt Yuri was a very balanced yet still cool and entertaining character.

She's cool, and her leadership is great.

Why I like Yuri is because she is a terrific leader, a good friend to her fellow members in the SSS Battlefront, a strong-willed girl, intelligent, and shows a cute side to her personality when she wants to. She is truly an interesting and unique character.
