Explanatory episode, but it was good nevertheless. Out of what's been told a lot of good things are indeed going to happen, especially regarding the next arc if you believe what the manga readers among us are saying. The Endless Gravestones by itself sounds pretty interesting already. Even Raki is going to fight it seems.

I don't know if it's new, but they changed some bits of the OP translation.

I wasn't bored watching this episode even though there was a lot of talking but yeah, it all made sense so everything's good. Looking forward to more.

A great episode story wise. With a few revelations. We finally have our answer to what happened to Clare in episode 4. It only gets better from here.

Well I actually loved it. (I always like plot/character-development episodes) I don't want mindless fighting all the time. Good to know some more background and good to see the plot and characters develop a bit. I was surpised with the revelation on them being in half-awakened state. It's logical though.

I also liked how the tension raised up in some scenes, even though they weren't fighting.
And seems Clare's ability is expanding. Since she was able to sense Galatea's presence from that far away.

I'm definitely looking foward to the next arc. I'm guessing that new claymore in the preview (which is one of those that appear in the intro as well) is one of the top five? And Raki is finally going to use his sword ^^ ... promissing~

Lots of talking, but it was definitely important to the development of the plot. I think Kayrhandros hit the nail on the head with his assessments. I don't mindless fighting either... the main reason many shounen type shows have recently been a turn off for me.

Great job to everyone who made hypotheses in previous threads. If we weren't right, we were darn close to it. Good stuff.

As for the who Clare faces... I'll make a wild guess and say is Ophelia. At first glance she looks like the Claymore that was telling Miria to hurry up and awaken, so she could fight her. I'm not too sure since I couldn't see her symbol in the preview.

The Endless Gravestones arc. I've been reading about how great his is going to be. I hope I don't overhype it for myself. Finally, get to see Raki fight. I really want him to get stronger. The whining type annoys me some, but if there's personal growth and development, I come to really like those type of characters.

It' s been a while since I've looked forward to the next episode of series as soon as I watched it. Claymore so far has the makings to be one of my all time favorites, but I won't make that call yet.

Yeah I reacted on that to. Changed the "Woe me, woe me, love me" part.

Pretty good episode, didn't remember all things what Miria said so yeah, it was refreshing. Should re-read the first volumes again.
Looking forward to next week a lot =)

They changed the lyrics because the OP single was out and with it, the official lyrics.

A very interesting episode indeed. Development is way better than fighting all the time.

Am I the only one that is dead curious to when Clare will have a cool nickname like "Teresa of the Faint Smile" and "Phantom Miria"? XD

Darkvoltage: Galatea is number three of the seventyeight generation.
...
And I say, this episode actually was quite interesting, seeing how you saw that flashback...It was not there in the manga (or was it?)...And that flashback even introduced Ophelia...

And "Flashsword Irene" ^^. I'm looking forward to see Clare getting a nickname too. Apparently only the top claymore have them though. So Clare needs to work her way there... or make some heads roll...

It was number 3, Galatea. (edit: took to long to write^^)

Yeah... though her air didn't quite seem similar, it's probably Ophelia. Since I've been hearing her name pop out a lot. (Fortunately no manga reader managed to spoil me yet.) And the arc's name seems to match her personality (or what we've heard of her).

I would have to say it's going to be Ophelia as well although I hoped they would have saved her for later. The preview mentions a warrior and path painted in blood, and considering it's been said that Ophelia is obsessed with blood, it's going to be her...

Awesome episode!!!! I enjoy plot-revealing episodes! Besides, it seems like next episode will be well, very bloody!
oh yeah, it'll probably be Ophelia..

ahaha, though in the preview Raki looked very bloodied up, so I have a feeling he'll suck at fighting.

I'd hate to get my hopes up too high for this show, but judging by how they dealt Clare's 'power-up' during the last episode, I doubt they'd go ahead and screw up now by making Raki an expert sword-fighter within one episode. Gah, it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't even know how to hold it Dx

*would love to see Raki suffer under Clare's harsh training, though!*

Yes yes yes! lol

I'm glad they took a little time off in this episode to explain things. Sometimes I feel like a big idiot watching shows where everything is only hinted at or glossed over really quickly. :) I'd rather have an episode here and there be slow and explanatory than be lost for the majority of the series.

That would be hilarious.

Yeah, I think it's weird when people do not like plot episodes.. I love violence in anime a lot, I think it's awesome.. But I hate shallow violence, it's not as interesting..

Shallow violence can be a lot of fun, and it definitely has its place. :) But Claymore wouldn't be as good if it was all that. So far, I think it's struck a pretty good balance.

Except for that one episode with the Yoma in the church - he was just way too chatty. :P

You might say it, but I can't forget how Creepy Masked Dude shat brix when Galatea said the kakuseisha was dead. They have a very valid point. An awakened Claymore risks becoming a kakuseisha, and they were basically sent to their death. But having surpassed their limit without awakening, now they're so much more badass than ever.

I, for one, appreciated the break in blazing-fast action. Gives you time to mentally catch up.

Great episode. I loved it. The lack of action wasn't disappointing given the amount of it in the two episodes prior. There was a lot of explanation, and a lot of conjecture that leads to conjecture on my part. I am definitely beginning to feel like there is something far more sinister about the organization than has been let on up to this point. I'm definitely on the edge of my seat for more action and story. This is fantastic.

Seriously, this is like third informative ep for 11 episodes overall. Well, I don't really mind much, because Claymore tends to make even the informative episodes interesting ones. My only problem with them is that I just can't wait for the story to progress further xD

The old man is indeed an old fox xD But anyway, it seems that the yoma wasn't lying that there is something ambiguous about the Claymore lineup. I just wonder if the Organization is afraid of the Awakened because they doesn't really know what might be the case with them or it's the opposite - they are afraid of the awakened because they know what awaits them in their future.
