This is everything I own, dvd and manga wise that I have collected over the last 8 years. It continues to grow, and with my room being rather small, it's getting a little crazy. I think my dvd collection outnumbers my manga, but still, I am pretty happy with it :) This is the top three rows: Mid and bottom rows ( please ignore the man shaving on tv lol ) And two rows by my bed: |

I need to find my manga collection D: Somehow, half of Death Note and Chobits series, and several volumes of Furuba are missing. I'm pissed. No pictures, though. The manga that I do have around is split between my parents' house and the place I rent near school ^^;; |

This is also on my homepage, but I copied and pasted it here as it is also in the Hidden Gems of Manga club. I try and update it as much as possible and even more comics are still coming in. It isn't a lot like many people have, but it is very unique as I like very rare works. So despite its small size it is actually quite expsenive. Strangely, I started reading manga (and comics in general) less then a year ago in September 2008, which was when I first started collecting. My first volumes was of Akira 1&2. Pierre_Bezukhova's Profile Page said: My Collection: These are pictures of my entire collection of my comics, anime, and other commerical products related to them, as well as a few pictures of my room. I organized this using layers of spoilers because there are a lot of pictures and I made a lot of comments. So if they were all laided out at once, it would take time for many computers to load (mine in particular). Of my collection, I keep it in chronological order according to the date of first publicaton of a series unless indicated otherwise. Once when my collection grows a lot, I would be able to go through my library and see the evolution of manga, anime, and all other comics (though my massive collection of comic strips are taken out). My collection doesn't just include manga, but also European and North American comics too--which I also posted here. When I learn Japanese, I will rebuy everything that I have in Japanese and sell the English copies that I have to offset the cost. The same goes for the European comics that I have for French. The layout everything is in chonological order from left to right, bottom to top. Also, if there is a title and no voluem indication, that means there was only one volulme complete in America. I do consider myself a somewhat of a collector because I have quite a bit of rare, exspensive, and out of print stuff. So I try to keep everything that I have in as close to new as possible while still being able to read them. I am getting a little worried about the condition of some of them because whenever I pull a book out, the other books tend to fall and knock others over (especallyl the Akira, Moebius, and Bone books). All pictures were taken mid-July 2009 at my home in Californnia. Comics Manga 1968-1980 The Pushman and Other Stories - Yoshihiro Tatsumi Abandon the Old in Tokyo - Yoshihiro Tatsumi Good-Bye - Yoshihiro Tatsumi Red Colored Elegy - Seiichi Hayashi Buddha vol. 1 - Osamu Tezuka Akira vols. 1-6 all (Dark Horse Publication) - Katsuhiro Otomo Notes: Just a few days ago I bought Katsuhiro Otomo's collection of early works,Memories of Her... and I just got it. So here it is: 1982-1997 Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind vols. 1-7 all - Hayao Miyazaki Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga vol. 1 - Kentarou Takehuma & Koji Aihara. Note: volume 2 & 3 were never published in English. Blue Spring - Taiyo Matsumoto Kare Kano omnibus (volumes 1-3) & volumes 4-10 - Masami Tsuda Between the Sheets - Erica Sakurazawa Blue - Kiriko Nananan. Note: The book is in the center. Notes: My friend is borrowing my copy of The Walking Man by Jiro Taniguchi and Tekkon Kinkreet by Taiyo Matsumoto. I don't know when I will get them back though. 1997-1999 Great Teacher Onizuak vols. 1-25 all - Tohru Fuijisawa Uzumaki vols. 1-3 all - Junji Ito Note: My friend is also borrowing my omnibus edition of Azumanga Daioh 1999-2008 Tokyo Zombie - Yusaku Hanakuma Sexy Voice and Robo - Iou Kuroda Yukiko's Spinich - Frédéric Boilet Mariko Parade - Frédéric Boilet & Kan Takahama Monokuro Kinderbook - Kan Takahama Japan as Viewed by 17 Creators - an anthology of various alternative Japanese and French artists and writers. Me and the Devil Blues vols. 1-2 - Akira Hiramoto Solanin - Inio Asano Travel - Yuichi Yokoyama Note: I just bought a copy of Secret Comics Japan and it is in the mail. As for some of the short works published in American anthology series by underground/experimental/art manga artists, see the North American comic section. Franco-Belgian Comics Moebius Note: For some of these, there are no real good discriptions on the internet. All of my Moebius comics are placed separately from all the other European comics beacuse the were published by Epic Comics with a number on them. All of these were only printed once in the late 1980's and early 1990's and are now very rare and are becoming quite exspensive. So I keep them in slipcovers and try to keep them in as best condition as possible. I have almost all of the volumes and the only one that I am missing is Moebius 1/2: The Early Moebius. It easily the rarest and most exspensive of all of them. Already I could sell my Moebius collection for hundreds of dollars to a collector and if I am able to get a hold of the only one missing, then I would be able to sell all of it for at least a thousand or more. Moebius 0: The Horny Goof and Other Underground Stories Moebius 1: Upon a Star Moebius 2: Arzach Moebius 3: The Airtight Garage Moebius 4: The Long Tomorrow Moebius 5: The Gardens of Aednea Moebius 6: Pharagonesia Moebius 7: The Goddess Moebius 8: Mississippi River Moebius 9: Stel - Note: As you probably can see, my copy is different from the rest of the series because it is larger and wouldn't fit in the slipcover. I don't know why, it just is. The Incal vols. 1-3 (Epic Comics publication) - Alejandro Jodorowsky & Moebius. Note: This is the original version as it was originally published. Avoid the Humanoids republication for they recolored everything to make it look more modern (and it sucks). Note: The copies of Arzach, The Gardens of Aedena, and Pharagonesia are extra copies that I have. When I get around to it, I will sell them on ebay (like I did with my extra copy of Akira vol. 3. Enki Bilal As of July 18 when the pictures were taken, the only other European comics that I have are those of Enki Bilal. Volumes 1&2 of Joann Sfar's The Rabbi's Cat are currently in the mail as I just bought them a few days ago. Unlike Moebius, I found all of these in an obscure corner that no one notices of a local comic book shop, so I saved quite a bit of money rather then buying them at outragous prices on the internet. Bilal is easily one of the most impressive artist I have come across, up there with Katsuhiro Otomo and Taiyo Matsumoto. I really want the The Nikopol Trilogy but it is ridiculous exspensive. The Chaos Effect - Pierre Christin & Enki Bilal. Note: This actually contains two stories, The Black Order Brigade and The Hunting Party. Townscapes - Pierre Christin & Enki Bilal. Note: This contains three stories: The Carnival of Lost Souls, Ship of Stone, and The Town that Didn't Exist. Memories From Outer Space (Hardcover). The first volume of a two volume series that contains some of his shorts. The other is entitled Memories from Outer Time Note: I just got both volumes of The Rabbi's Cat and they are absolutely increadible. North American Comics 1979-1998 Compared to manga, I really don't have much of North American works. I don't really like superheros too much (with the exception of Frank Miller and Jeff Loeb's Batman). Cerebus will take me years to complete as I have been reading the first volume for the past month and still am only a little of haveway through. The Contract With God Trilogy - Will Eisner. Note: This contains three books, The Contract With God, A Life Force, and Dropsie Avenue. It is the great American Graphic Novel and one of the best things I have ever read. Will Eisner's New York: Life in the Big City - Will Eisner. Note: This contains 4 books: New York, The Building, City People Notebook, and Invisible People. The culmination of Eisner's lifelong observations of New York, the city he was born it and lived his entire life till his death. Not as good as The Contract With God Trilogy but still way better then most of what is published now. V For Vendetta - Alan Moore & David Lloyd Cerebus The Ardvark vol. 1 - Dave Sime The Sandman (Absolute Editions 1-4) - Niel Gainman & Various Artists. This is the absolute greatest comic ever (though followed slightly by Nausicaä). 1994-2005 Bone vols. 1-9 (Scholastic color) - Jeff Smith. This is the only edition that is colored (quite nicely too compared to the Incal recoloring) and even the original was in black and white. From Hell - Alan Moore & Eddie Campbell Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth - Chris Ware. This is very experimental, but not as much as the more underground/art comics in Kramers Ergot. The Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Kim Deitch Blankets - Craig Thompson I just bought C.F.: Powr Mastrs vols. 1&2 and are in the mail. They are both by C.F. (Chris Forgues). In addition, I also bought Kramer's Ergot Volume 6 and The Ganzfeld volumes 2-5. Volumes 4 and 5 contains some extremely rare publications by underground/alternative/art manga artists Keiichi Tanaami, King Terry,Shigeru Sugiura, Yuichi Yokoyama, and Tanioka. My comics in their natural position Before I cleared off my shelves and put my comics up there, I had them on the ground and cluttered in with the rest of my books. I also have a lot of manga on my computer, but I will update that later. Anime Ghibli and 1984-1995 Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind - I am scared to watch this after reading the manga because I will undoubtible compare the too and end up hating this. Laputa: Castle in the Sky Whisper of the Heart Princess Mononoke Macross: Do You Remember Love - This is an illegial copy (since it has never been liscened outside of Japan) that I got for almost nothing in Japantown in San Francisco. Ghost in the Shell Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Neon Genesis Evangelion - Greatest show ever (nothing else needed) Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion 1998-2005 Serial Experiments Lain - It was much cheaper without the box Haibane Renmei - Yoshitoshi ABe is my second favorite person in anime (right behiend Miyazaki (obviously) and Anno). RahXephon - This box set also contains the movie. The series was a too pretentious for my taste. Kino's Journey Texhnolyze - This is the special lenicular set, but the stiky tabs fell of after a few months. My Other Anime Patlabor - The original 1988 ova's on VHS that I got for less then a dollar at my library. All of my copied DVD's. In there is the entire series of Rorouni Kenshin, Witch Hunter Robin, Last Exile, and a few others (a lot of movies) that I don't want to go through them all. The CD on the top is a character CD that I got with my Utena statue. Almost all of my copied DVD's came from copying DVD's from my friends and the local libraries. My Room Posters Nausicaä I bought this off of ebay from Japan. Since is extremely rare and quite expsensive. I had a poster of Haruhi Suzumiya, but after I got this framed I gave it to a friend obsessed with the show. My Neighbor Totoro Got this WonderCon for a few dollars. Cowboy Bebop Also got this at WonderCon for a few dollars. Revolutionary Girl Utena Neon Genesis Evangelion Not my favorite character, but the posters of Shinji that were at WonderCon made him look like a girl. Personally all of the fan-guys destroys much of what I like in her. Death Yeah I know that it this not a poster nor is it anime or manga. I have a poster of this, but it is still in the tube it came in because I realized I don't have any wallspace to put it up on. But I will in college and I plan to get it framed. I just have to have a poster of one of my favorite characters from my favorite comic. It is painted by Moebius. Everything Else Books -Just some of them. My Desk My Dresser Area Above My Bed More Posters A few days ago, I just got a new Macbook Pro, so that will be main computer once it gets all set up. I am selling my extra copies of Moebius, if any one wants to buy it, just message me. I will be using the US site of amazon for it to be safe. This is very out of date and needs to be updated since I have moved and my manga collection has expanded quite a bit since then. |

"In the Beginning, the creative energy radiates from within." - No, no. That's Lame. Sounds like something out of a Jodorowsky comic. The Tokusyu Manga Club - Features alternative comics/avant-garde comics/outsider comics/psychdelic comics/surrealistic comics/underground comics + La Nouvelle Manga (part of Alternative). If I'm here, its because I have nothing better to do. |

There are currently 2557 books which I keep track of using Librarything. This last pic is older, but I liked the angle. Your collection is amazing. Well, I'm not really collecting, more like buying those that I really liked. Well, I did decide to collect the Vagabond series, as you can see. And if Slam Dunk was on sale, I'd collect it too. If it's hard to tell what are some of the mangas, the one near Fruits Basket is Blade of The Immortal, between the Claymore and NGE is Trinity Blood, and there's Slam Dunk between 20th Century Boys and Claymore. For Berserk I chose those 4 volumes with a specific reason, each volume represents some very crucial turn event in the manga. Same with 20th Century Boys. |

><' Thanks guys! But let me tell you guys that I didn't just come across my collection all in one go, I've been collecting since 2001. So, it's been 9+ years of getting a few titles here and there. I had to have the shelves custom made because as I get more stuff, I obviously run out of room and I figured three full sized shelves would keep me going for a while. I've got the bottom row before I'll need to upgrade again, lol. |

To be honest, I have no idea how many volumes of manga I have in my collection. But I think it's definitely in the 300+ range. Those consist of the lower half of my collection as the top half of the shelves are all anime DVDs, so those outnumber my manga by far. I think they are probably in the 300-400 range right now. As of today, I have added more to my collection both manga and DVD wise, but I won't be taking any updated pictures since it won't really make a huge impact visually. quote] |

My collection 2 years old: I got round to doing some crud photo's! BAH my tablet calibration was messed up and I made a few annotation mistakes. The picture to me doesn't seem like much but in real life it seems like a lot! I have some more coming in the post also on the smaller shelf a few are hidden at the top because of the shelf above it sticking out if you get what I mean. ** Friend borrowing Death Note 1 and CCS 3 not in pic, a few on top of the rows hidden** **few 'hidden'** **Manga box with Manga in and another box inside it with more Manga** The pictures are somewhat outdated now since I have gotten quiet a few more since then and I re-arranged my shelfs In-complete list here: http://kirari-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/03/what-manga-i-own-just-to-give-you-short.html It's missing over 50 volumes in the list. |

Ah you guys have so much manga! I started with collecting this winter, but you really have to travel for some good stores where you can buy them so mostly I save up some money and buy 3 to 8 volumes a time. And since I've been only 2 times in a manga store in the past 4 months I only have this: Bleach Volume 1 Bleach Volume 2 Naruto Volume 1 Naruto Volume 2 One Piece Volume 1 One Piece Volume 2 One Piece Volume 3 Howl's Moving Castle Volume 1 Bleach Souls (Character book) Shonen Jump 3, 2010 But on the 5th of may I'm gonna buy some more so than I add this to the small collection: Bleach Volume 3 Naruto Volume 3 One Piece Volume 4 One Piece Volume 5 One Piece Volume 6 Angel Sanctuary Volume 1 Gravitation Volume 1 I get 60 euro's a month from my parents but I have to buy everything except food and stuff from that... So clothing, shoes, jackets, gifts, train traveling, going to a movie, candy and more... So I have to save up before I can buy manga, but some friends of me live in Rotterdam and there they have some nice shops. So I go there every vacation and sometimes more and than I buy 3 to 8 volume's a time ^^ Anyway this is a lot of useless talk x'D But I'll post a picture on 6 or 7 may ^^ |
