Y'just gotta wonder. What was he thinking? Before I knock on anyone's game play -- I have to remind myself of my own idiocity when playing this game. XD |

I played this game some time ago: [2012/05/07/般南喰赤] A:KyuuAA(+1.0) B:shaXmu(+76.0) C:tamazawa(-54.0) D:nag08(-23.0) http://tenhou.net/0/?log=2012050716gm-0009-0000-85fac029&tw=0&ts=2 Never thought I'd see the Pao Rule again. :heh: At least, this time: I didn't get affected by it. Instead, I got hit by a couple of misplays, like with East 4: I went with the greedy dual pon instead of a 2-side wait. Anyways. After that Dansaigen, it became a game of 2nd place. Thankfully, I nailed it, despite being all sleepy and crap. === Two dragons called. Don't drop the 3rd!!! XD FYI, I had done that before, and fell to the Pao Rule myself, which I was the idiot who threw out the 3rd dragon. Back then, I didn't know any better. XD Modified by KyuuAL, 06-09-13, 7:18 PM |

Too bad you were forced to take that Ippatsu in the end, and to decline it might have been suicide. South 2-0: Oh man. That Red-5 was a curse. XD |

My (best) match today: - score low (deals into dealer mangan and other hands) - come back win w/ suu an kou single tile wait (dealer Yakuman - no double yakuman rules?) - damaten - hell wait (LOL) - Get atama-hane ron-ed. one haneman/mangan ... I think? And another with 3/4 han hands. - won last round with mangan.... I think. ;.; I know I have bad feeling with that riichi on my dealer turn... *starts to like damaten* +62. Today is a good day... Yesterday I got dropped below 0, lol. Well, as long as you get a yakuman you can play into people's hand as much as you want I guess, lol. Yeah, I should've gone with that pair of 8 pin, but players on my front and right have declared riichi, so... ;.; I don't know how to get replay games link on tenhou. :/ Join ★☆Shiraitodai Fan Club☆★ for Mahjong World Domination!! |

This is on an account I created recently because I had the pass for my main account in another computer. http://tenhou.net/0/?log=2012052218gm-0051-0000-x768a3324114f&tw=1 Watch me go as low as 200. And win. This is another one in my main account which refused to end. http://tenhou.net/0/?log=2012052412gm-0059-0000-x18e37bad018c&tw=1 So yeah, I love 3p mahjong. Especially on fast. Multiple yakuman only applies when y'combine one yakuman with another -- like Suu Ankou + Ryuu Iiso. Sweet, thanks. I was worried of accidentally erasing my games, lol. By the way, how long can we be absent on tenhou and not having our account erased? Join ★☆Shiraitodai Fan Club☆★ for Mahjong World Domination!! |

I have several names in Tenhou. All of them "unpaid". I don't really bother to rank myself in Tenhou. Else, I'd lose the fun out of the game. Although, I am curious as to where I would rank. My current Tenhou name is KyuuAA... and I may actually be using that one for the rest of my Tenhou days. So, that leaves my other names as old ones. Just as there is a "Post your games" thread in this group. I have a couple of my own here: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=153078 Nice having an old collection of "newbie" games for me to look back on. Oh, the mistakes I've made. And seeing my stats on my KyuuA4 account, I was pretty bad. Looking back, I'll make a "Yakuman" thread here. :D The games in that thread are over 2 years old now. And, the replay data still works. So, that's nice to know. As to how long they expire, I don't know. http://arcturus.su/tenhou/ranking/ I'm not sure how this site collects data, but as long as the name and data exists, then the account still exists. |

Oohoshi_Awai said: Well, as long as you get a yakuman you can play into people's hand as much as you want I guess, lol. No, not even. Just look at this example on my first Yakuman: === Continuing off previous post. I bring back my first Yakuman game... and I still lost. XD http://tenhou.net/0/?log=2010072116gm-0009-0000-36c368d4&tw=1 Yay, my first Yakuman... sadly, the guy across me ended up dominating the game... Knowing the game a lot better now -- I can point out and knock on my own boneheaded mistakes. === Started off the game losing to an East mangan. To be fair, I had tenpai Tan-Pin Iipeiko, which had the potential of also developing Sanshoku. Looking at the yakuman. Based on what I did then, I never would have done those same moves of outright collecting "anko" (triplets), because it was a very nice start-hand of which I could have shot for Tanyao Pinfu. But, that was some "Kaori" style luck with that one, as the tiles simply came in one by one. === Then looking at the scoring records. 7 out of 10 hands were won by tsumo, and none of those hands were won by me. So, evidently, the lead from that one yakuman eventually got eroded -- to the point where I finished dead last. Oh, how bitter sweet. === Lesson here is: no matter how big your lead is, you either have to win fast (to move the game along), or avoid losing points by ron. Modified by KyuuAL, 05-29-12, 8:04 AM |

Just doing a count: Total games played vs AI: 520 Via Tenhou: ~400? Live Tile: A bunch - about 1-3 games a week. AI games are particularly helpful, especially if you're new. 'cause (1) AI are fast, therefore, y'might actually want to play fast, or (2) AI do not care how long you take. Either way, you get to play at whatever pace you like. AI and online, you get to play whenever you want. |

I had somewhat of a rare situtation in Touhou Mahjong: I could deal any tile except my drawn one, to be in tenpai. I dealt 9-man, so that I could get Tan Yao alongside my San Ankou (I figured it was the most safest tile too). I also declared riichi, and I'm not sure if that was a good idea, but I ended up winning anyway, with some ura-dora. Not sure, if it was that rare of a situtation (being able to deal any tile in a closed hand except your draw, to be in tenpai.), but it was my first time at least. I haven't played mahjong much though. ![]() |

I screwed up at one point in the match and it hurt, but I managed to have a big come back hand on the last South round. |

[2012/06/06/般南喰赤] A:t.kato(-18.0) B:KyuuAA(+4.0) C:opedon(+66.0) D:reonyan(-52.0) http://tenhou.net/0/?log=2012060617gm-0009-0000-614cbdae&tw=1&ts=4 Playing into that Chinitsu pretty much lost me the game. But, I did something fairly interesting in East 4 (linked), where I had declined a win on an 8-sou, in favor of a 5-6-7 sanshoku. Being in temp. furiten, I couldn't accept the 5-sou, after the 8-sou was ponned. However, after my draw, that lulled the 5-sou as safe, and I nailed the player across from me, in retaliation for the previous hand. >:D Modified by KyuuAL, 06-06-12, 2:20 AM |
