This was a great episode in my opinion. A lot of character development for Masa and Yaichi. I like how Masa keeps on slowly getting more involved with the Five Leaves each episode.

Brilliant episode. It kept with the soothing slow pace, while adding an interesting story, and creating mystery with the new group.

This episode alone boosted my rating of it from 7 to 9, and from 3rd best this season to 1st...

The ending scene did a through job confusing me. So basically Masa just had to fail so they could succeed in the kidnapping?
Decent episode.

Very, very good. The ending kinda killed the mood though xD It's optimistic.

Wait, what was going on in the ending? It was unrelated to the rest of the plot, right? (Like... a flashback or something?)

Anyway, Masa should stand up to Yaichi a bit more. If he doesn't want to be involved, say so, otherwise Yaichi will just do what he likes. Which is what he did in this ep. Masa just accepted it, even though he was clearly uncomfortable.

Obligatory: NEEDS MOAR MASA/YAICHI ACTION

I also think it's part of Yaichi story. Kidnappers were new people, mentioning mother's hatred and caretaking servant fits perfectly. That would explain why he became kidnapper.

This was a very interesting episode despite its slowness.

The plot is slowly developing, and characters are growing on me. I have not a single complain about this episode.

Watching this show is like taking a nap. That's why it's so awesome.

That last scene confused the hell out of me. It doesn't help when all the characters look really similar...

Other than that, I'm loving this. The pace is just right, it feels great and I don't actually need any plot. Just keep it like this.

If Yaichi is the name of the servant who betrayed him why does he go now by the same name?

So is Yaishi is in the business of kidnapping to help these kids or just revenge from his past?

Wow, i'm really starting to like this show.

The "New Guy" thing is starting to bug me, though... I don't know what it is, but I just really hate when the protagonist is the new guy in a criminal organisation. It bugs me here, it bugged me in Black Lagoon, and it really pissed me off in Eureka Seven.

Still, it's liveable. I mean, Masa is clearly a lot more likeable than Renton, as Yaichi is to Holland. Even if Masa isn't as surprisingly impressive as Rock was.

This is a wicked good show. The ending was quite a loop because I had no idea what was happening. It might be a different time though...

Wow Masa is a genius.....I meant Yaichi really genius,He use Masawithout letting him know he is being used. And Yaichi's face and personality is really suited for Kidnapping.

Why izzit why felt that Masu is being fooled being their member LOL.....really funny when he is fooled ..

I am shock when they bring the story from episode one,the brat with a maple scar on his back...I wonder will he return to Yaichi after knowing the truth??
(somehow i think he will be the Antagonist of this story)

It's a very mature series. I don't expect this to appeal to everyone. But I do envision more adults watching this though....

I like how lazily the plot develops in the show. It sets the mood and gets you into a comfort zone. I also like the art style of the show. It helps set the mood too.

I gave this episode a 5/5 because you get to learn a lot more about Yaichi. I think he took the name because it sounded like someone who would do a kidnapping.

Until this episode I wasn't too sure about this series, but now I'm really getting into it. For me it was the first episode where I didn't even recognize that the pace was slow, because I was so captivated. Looking forward to more!
I probably regret this post by now.

That'd explain the maple leaf connection. Though Yaichi would be one damaged man if that were the case.

I think so too, but I'm still pretty confusing.

Very cool series. Glad I finally started it.

Mmm, I didn't really understood the ending and who the kidnapped guy was. But it seem interresting.

I like how Yaichi is literally playing with Masa xD

That guy that encounter Masa at the dango store seem to hide something.

I cracked up when Take offered cakes to Masa :P

So, either the flashback story is of one kid whom Yaichi 'betrayed' as part of another kidnapping jobs; or the kid who 'died' to become 'Ichi' Yaichi the 2nd.

Interesting. (Daifuku envy.)

Interesting episode. I'm leaning towards thinking this was a glimpse at Yaichi's past, because it seems to me that this was a continuation of of the very beginning of the first episode. Could be showing a kid he betrayed, but I think the kid was him.

After episode 3 this Anime is already one of my favorite! I don't understand how such brilliant Anime only get 12 episodes (1 season)??!? Anyway ending was good as we found out something from Yaichi's past - he was kidnapped with the intention to be killed but the gang who did it left him alive and deceived the client ordering murder - which was his mother!!

I had to rewatch the beginning of the first episode to know what the heck this episode's ending was all about. Completely forgot the servant's name was Yaichi, I guess the "Yaichi" we know now is using his name for some reason.

As for Masa, grow a dam pair already jeez dude. Just lets everyone step over his pride like nothing.
