Stella is friggin' brutal. She's pretty immense..The other chick is cool too. Laughed hard when Kou was talkin' of running off, and then he turns round to see HoshiStarface n the others already peggin' it. Good stuff.

Good to see this from you antitype. Seeing how you seemed to like the show at the beginning (even though it wasn't Yuasa) made me think you would actually like this episode. But I still stand by my opinion:

This show is becoming unfunny and cliched especially with that stupid violent little girl. That isn't original!! It's overused and predictable!! You think it's fresh and funny? Since when! Oh why shaft...why...such a shame...such a lack of creativity ...*moans*

I thought you quit MAL? I'm confused.

Anyway, I think Arakawa is a really nice-looking show at times, with all the aqua-hued skies and green grass and... well, that's pretty much it. The character design and animation is otherwise nothing special and full of SHAFT's clichés repeated ad nauseum. The humor is about as stupid as that of Detroit Metal City -- they both have a premise that should be a source of great comedy, but they totally blunder it. The "scary" little girl was definitely the tipping point for me.

Just another disappointment.

Quit... I guess you could say so. More like I locked my lists, comments, whole pages blah blah blah and then left a description about it and some random favourites. Yes I did quit. But I'm still probably going to hang in the forums for a bit, until I get bored or until exams come around. Whichever is first.

I've been watching KSN subs since someone mentioned the translation differences a couple of weeks ago. They're pretty slow, so it sucks.

I kind of liked the episode. The first half with the date was hilarious, brilliant, and poignant all at the same time. To see that side of Nino so early on kind of caught me off guard, but hell, I said that last week, didn't I? As for the second half...a little boring. I don't get the hate for Stella. She is what she is. Let's not act like all of these characters are wholly original. Riku is just a variant on the straight man, Nino on the crazy girl, Sister on the bad ass, Star on the obsessive guy. It's how they're used that counts most. That said, her parts were amusing enough, but I was over it rather quickly.

I really liked Maria, though.

ROFL LAMO, I just laughed my ass off during this whole episode. Nino blushing was cute. I thought Stella was really funny in her own way; Saito Chiwa's versatility is just amazing.

and the last, sister scar explosion scene was just bomb... I've never had such scene that I laughed insanely like that.

I laughed so hard during the entire date; especially the "princess carrying". The middle part with Stella was fine, a bit boring. But Maria was full of win with her insults.
