I just started watching this and have to say something about the character design and strange world reminds me of the game The Neverhood. I love it. And it may seem like a weird thing to say but I also enjoy the sound effects...

BGM is very nice!

It started out slow but at the end it got interesting enough to get on to the next episode. It had some humor in there and i laughed a couple of times.

Wow. An intriguing first episode!! As expected from the director of Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei.

My eyes are adjusting to the artstyle at the start of the show but in the end, it already find it interesting and compelling.

I loved how it gives off dark, sci-fi, and futuristic vibes. The concept of memory-transfer is great.

Also, got some laughs from it. XD

The Artistic--Style Is That Of Astro Boy

Indeed Still A Difficult Concept Also Lacking Of Memory And Interactions With Persons Because Of That Are Difficult To Realize Unfortunately

THAT was SOMETHING strange. But I can't say if I liked it or not. For now, the design is strange, even childish, but the realm showed in the series doesn't seem to be a friendly place at all. We'll see further on.

I came here after hearing people mention Kaiba on that one episdoe discussion in Space Dandy. And this didn't disappoint me at all. I was immediately sucked in by the mesmerizing OP (the ED was beautiful as well). It felt relaxing yet had a sad tone to it, and it made me wonder what I was getting into. This was rather intriguing. Can't say I love it yet, but it definitely gave me a good first impression.

The art style will take maybe one or more episode to get used to, it's not terrible, but it's not something I'm familiar with in the anime medium. It does kind of remind me of Astro Boy/Tezuka's art style. Like others said, the concept of memory transfer and having different bodies is quite interesting. The first episode in, and we're already seeing some societal issues such as class difference/discrimination/power. I can already tell there's going to be some depth here.

I'm also very curious about that hole in his chest...

Oh yea right, Astro Boy! It looked kinda familiar to me.. thats why x)

I love this "Anime" already, I dont know what "boring" parts there were, I had a good laugh :D
Also, I like it how you explore the world together with the protagonist. Art style, creativity and soundtrack= applaudable! Can't complain yet.

Wow, that was slow. Probably shouldn't have came in here right after I finished Ping Pong. Still, the OP and ED are great, nice vocal as well. As for the content, hmm hmm, most of it is still a mystery, can't wait for them to unravel Kaiba's lost memories. Had a few chuckle along the way too.

I honestly didn't know what the heck were I watching at some parts...

The show has some points that I liked anyways. The ost, the art style, this whole new world, the fact that they explained some facts about the plot in that scene where the main character was just listening...

I'm kinda curious about what will happen next. If that's the point of this first episode, then they've succeeded.

Does anyone know what Popo meant when he said 'you better had not scanned her memories'. What does scanning do?

Also, what's the point of stealing their memories? I thought they were only interested in bodies.

Holy shit! What a great way to start things off.
Immediately interested in the universe and these characters.
The art is really incredible as well, despite it's simplicity. The character design is certainly giving me a bit of a Tezuka vibe, although it's not completely copying his style, either...

Really interested in seeing where this goes.

My first impression was, wow this looks like it was animated in Flash and composited in After Effects. The whole thing reminded me of a student film, the way some parts feel 'incomplete' and hard to follow, but completely experimental. The environment/world building leaves a lot of room open for interpretation. Sometimes I couldn't tell where the characters were going or what was happening, but that's okay, the way some scenes felt quiet and spacious was enough time for me to digest all the visuals. The style reminds me of a cross between anime from the '60s and Betty Boop? Strange, round and cute! We'll see how this goes.

the background score! <3 <3 <3

I have a feeling I will love this show.. the direction is so good for episode 1 and feels peculiar, because the set and character design is so 'childlike' (IDK a better word) but the direction is really good, the juxtaposition is intriguing already, atleast so far..

It made me feel nostalgic too for some reason.. The overall "sound" in this anime, is something I have never seen in any anime before.. atleast, in memory.. love the vibe.. The moments music play , especially towards the end <3 and the OP and ED <3

Warp is so cute.

Damn, that kid was totally cool with selling his brother. Although, if your brother's such a pain in the ass, why all the effort to save him ?

Damn, Popo sold Warp out didn't he ?

I can't say I've understood everything about the setting but it seems interesting. Hopefully, future episodes are less confusing.

It seemed to be mainly world-building and connections between characters, but the action scenes also looked fucking weird.

The whole show could be turned upside down if it were clarified what the mark on the hippocampus chest meant.

I didn't think it was bad, but it wasn't at all inviting for me to continue watching.
The ep went by quickly, it's very lively, but I thought it was just very wtf and didn't introduce the world and characters very well, which I think is important to keep watching something. I don't know if I'll continue, as I'm sure I'll find it very boring from now on, as this first ep didn't leave me wanting to know what all that is happening is.
