Are the Bleach movies adaptations of the anime/manga or are they like filler episodes? And how understandable are the films to newcomers?      |

The movies have nothing to do with the anime/manga plotline. The movies have their own storyline preset to them. The films are understandable if you know the basics of what you are watching. If you haven't seen the Soul Society Arc of Bleach, then I don't recommend you watching the movie. |
