THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.

I just got randomly linked to one of the pages of this and found Punpun's design to be kind of ridiculous and wanted to know just what is this manga about, so I read the first chapter... I'm not really sure what to think, this manga is either brilliant or totally stupid.

Having just read some other work from the same mangaka, I'll bet on brilliant and will try to read some more chapters.

Well, that sure was... interesting. Very unique, I can't tell if I'm going to really enjoy it or not.

This was actually pretty depressing. While Punpun's character design looks rather comical, the lack of detail prevents any form of emotional expression on his side, setting him apart from everyone else (even his parents who are drawn the same way are more expressive). He seems lost and detached from his environment.

This is some really depressing shit I tell you what... :c
I like how simple Punpuns design is thought, he really is a broken kid from a broken home, too young to understand or express himself accurately in the world around him. Ugh, I can kinda relate, having had a shitty childhood...

When I started reading Punpun, I never expected the story to be that dark and gloomy. I mean the character design really is ridiculous...
I can't really decide if I like Punpun or not, but I can't stop reading...
