| Let's keep giving the woman rights! I kid, but that's what pretty much happened. While watching this, I felt disconnected with everything. Sannan's potential defining moment at dinner felt lacking. For me, there's almost nothing to like about anyone. At least this feels a lot better than Miracle Train. I just wished this had more definition to it. |

| What a bore. This show is generic in every sense of the word and the characters are lame cardboard cutouts. PRETTY cardboard cutouts, but cutouts nonetheless. The only one I'm somewhat interested in is Okita. I'll give it one more episode before I drop. |

| Still nothing happened, so I really hope that we'll get some action in the next ep. (At least the preview looks better than the last time.) So far it seems like K-ON for me. xD Talking, eating and some practising (with swords instead of guitars). xD and that's all. o-O But I haven't given up hope yet, so I'll wait. | I really hope Chizuru becomes stronger because I actually like her, which is saying something since I'm totally jealous that she's surrounded by a bunch of hot bishies. I mean, there has to be some stronger meaning to her being the main protaganist. |

| The pace was a bit slow, I don't recommend watching this during the night because you will fall asleep. Next episode looks full of action. So far so good. :) |

| It's a shame that only a minority of people here are actually familiar with the events that happen in the Bakamatsu, or anything about Japan's history for that matter (Gintama must've screwed up their image lol, still love that show btw). Anyway, the plan to burn Kyoto to the ground, that raid on the Chousuu conspirators by the Shinsengumi and the "blowing out the candles", I've seen it in anime/manga form in many different ways, and I've never been disappointed. This anime is no exception. Chizuru makes it a bit more light-hearted, but hey, that's not a bad thing. It's different in a good way. 5/5 The pacing is pretty quick, I wonder how far they'll go. I'm really liking this anime so far. My favourite male character is definitely Souji at the moment, I'm expecting a lot from him. |
