A few days in the delay of this post - but I got curious because this week we (in the Netherlands) had the week of autism-awareness, or something like that. So I went to the website (everything gets it's own website these days) and found out it was as a reaction to the world autism day, declared by the VN. So now I am curious - did autism get any attention in wherever you live? Did you even know it existed? And what do you guys think about it? Come and look around at the autism club or the Yakuza FC! |

I didn't even know there was a autism week - or day - until I watched a news show that paid attention to it. And today I saw a huge billboard. I don't need one, but I can imagine it is good something like this gets attention, lots of people with severe autism would like some recognition, wouldn't they? At my college, there's a giant banner currently hanging above the dining hall reminding everyone when Earth Day is going to be. It annoys me a little, because we have plenty of people in the world already telling us to save the environment and not enough people saying that we should be more aware of those around us with Autism, since April is Autism Awareness Month. No one is doing anything at my school to let them know that it's AA Month. I even wore blue for Autism Awareness Day. |

Why blue? You seem more to know about it than I do... Come and look around at the autism club or the Yakuza FC! |
