A lot of people are being really creative lately, designing their lists in a way that hasn't been there before. Really nice design, donut. :D

I just changed mine to something more simple. It's similar to my last one in that I tried to arrange it for 3 resolutions. 1024x768 should mostly see the girl on the left, 1280x1024(my resolution) should see both characters, and anything higher should see the whole picture.
looks really nice ^_^

Yeah, I've been browsing a lot of lists the past couple of days and have seen a lot of excellent designs out there. As an early indication, the next MAL awards are going to be quite impressive.

I really liked the clean and soft feel to that one donut! I would fit even better with some warm colors I think!

I made a different one. It's a Kira-version of this one.

I also made Fate's. ^^;;

....Bah. I made a mistake on one... *goes to fix mistake on the first one, and to tell Fate to fix something on the second*

W00t, very nice stuff Ceray! But I have to agree to SY, if you could remove the horizontal scroll bar it'd be perfect.

erm I'm kinda lost o.O... I don't see that horizontal scroll bar you're talking about -_-"

Anyway looks good Ceray. You should probably increase the quality on those banners. There's a lot of seeable crystals there. Other than that looks good :)

Maybe it depends on the resolution, I will judge again when I'm on my PC and not on the weaker one at home.

It does depend on the resolution...I use 1024x768 because 1280x1024 hurts my eyes >_> although most pages are designed around 1024x768 resolution, so it's usually not a problem.

*coughs* ^^; Sorry 'bout the scroll bar, I'm still learning, ya?

Yeah, I used normal paint to make them, since I don't really have anything else (well, there's one picture editor but I can't put in text with it).

Okay since Scrummy complained about some scrolling and stuff i decided to edit my list design by adding an other wallpaper and adjust the list to the left along with the list headers. What do you think, i'm only thinking about the link and the table colors now, should i change or should i keep it as it is now.

Well, I'm back on my PC. I checked it in Firefox @ 1280x1024 and the scrollbar is still there. :|

@Cheese:
I didn't see anything to scroll on your last list design and I actually liked it better than your new one but it's cool, too.

Well it was mainly people with resolutions that had a width of less than 1000, so i guess you weren't touched by it.

Whee~ I like the new style Mr. Cheese-head, and Talon's is pretty too.

...I give up on fixing the scrollbar. *ka-stabs self* ...I'll mess with it later... Or attempt to.

Aaand... I'd like to help... But... I sorta suck at it still. ^^;

Lag and IE problems (IE is the problem anyway >_>') should be solved.
not much load because I switched the png's (total 1.81mb) with jpg's (total 268kb)

I had to go with PNG if I'd want to take the Alpha's with it, and compressed PNG doesn't support alpha very well.
that's the different between PNG-8 and PNG-24.

ah anyway, Jpeg does it now right so it doesn't cares.

Cheesebaron--thanks much! It looks great XD And I like the fact that I didn't have to scroll around to see it =) thank you.

Talon--I like it, but the table backgrounds kind of clash with the page background, in my opinion.

Koreth--I take art commissions, if you want a completely original design :P although I don't have an example of a list yet.

Ah! I love Talon's list! <3

ahh, too many good lists... What one shall I nominate for the next award!

And Darkvoltage, I like the list but the print is too small, I think.. I don't know, but it makes it a bit hard to read.. Maybe I am just a bit blind, xP Awesome list design though.

yes, I like your list too, DV, but your font size is a wee bit too small. See if you can increase it by just one little point, thank you.

If you guys are using Firefox, you can set a size for the 'smallest font size displayed' and increase it yourself.

Looks perfectly fine to me, good work DV! I like the color scheme. :D

DV I only think you need to increase the font size. 'coz in it's difficult to read. Other than that it's good.

See. The whole point to web design, and even designing itself, is that we shouldn't have to do it ourselves. It's an unwritten rule of design.

Hello~
I had some fun designing lists for my friends and myself but I'll warn you that these designs were made for the owners, and not for the watchers... that's why it can be unfitted to your resolution (is that even english Oo?)
Here I go:
- Darki s list
- Toulal s list
- Kupo s list

They should fit on1280x1024, except Kupo's, which was made for 1600x1200 T_T
If you have a problem (and I saw that some of you have a small resolution), screenshots here:

(I said Kupo is on 1600x1200, well this screenshot is what it looked like first, before I knew what his resolution was. So he modified it himself to fit on his screen.)
And I'll repeat... these designs were made to please the owners, not the watchers~)

Well, those look beautiful in the thumbnails XD but when I load them they look all wonky. Darki's isn't so bad, although the character on the right is cut off. Your own list looks absolutely awful on my screen--the only part of the haibane you can see are the wings and halo, and for some reason it splits the page and gives it a scroll-bar o__O Here's a screenshot. Kupo's list looks okay, but the tables cover up the picture of Lain.

Keep in mind, these are not criticisms of your work--I see from the thumbnails that they look wonderful on your screen. I'm just letting you know about the problems that I'm having viewing them.

That's just because your screen resolution is a bit lower. :)
