I never played the game but I found the similarity that some pointed out to Rurouni Kenshin appealing. The two series are different but still Hakuouki looks very promising. |

What's good about this anime is the bishies lolx. And I love to see swords and blood~ Perfect combination! mingling with each other are the flames of red and blue |

The first time I saw this episode, the version I watched had complete crack subtitles so I have a bad first impression on this anime. Even after seeing a proper sub, I still don't like it. I'll leave it for the shojo fangirls... pine·ap·ple (pīn'āp'əl) n. a pineapple is someone who is brunette on the outside but a stereotypical blonde dumbass on the inside |

I liked the first episode. It was decent. :) Violent animes arn't really my thing but since I'm getting the PSP game that's coming out next month (Otome video games coming to America, WOO!! :D) I figured I might as well give this a shot. It's kinda disappointing how so many people complain about "useless" female protagonists. It's kinda like Yuki Cross from Vampire Knight, lol. Personally, I really like characters like Yuki Cross and Chizuru because they're REALISTIC AND BELIEVABLE. Admit it, if you were in her position and you saw the horrible things she does in this anime, you'd be scared. You're not always going to get a badass heroine. Especially not in a shoujo, lol I mean come on xD So I think it's rather refreshing to have a protag like Chizuru. I mean, I like strong and cool heroines just the same but they're not always necessary, methinks :) (BTW I think I look a bit like Chizuru actually /////) Also, bishies. Ohbby- Overall, I really liked it. 9 out of 10 for now, although it's only the first episode, so I'm sure it'll get better~ <33 Modified by Mitsuki-chan101, 01-13-12, 10:56 PM |

Honestly, this is one of the better reverse harems. That said, I'm still not overly impressed. Hopefully this will improve as it moves along. The characters personalities aren't really likable so far. :( Chizuru... well, she's one of the better protagonists, but still a little silly. If she turns out ridiculously weak and needs to be saved, I'll facepalm. And obviously it's a girl because the voice is a little too high to pass as a male. Heisuke = Bossun. XD |

I've found it! A Shoujo that takes place in the Bakamatsu (One of my personal favourites and style, along with the Sengoku, Edo and Meiji Era) with the Shinsengumi, Samurai, Citizens and just Katana in general! This may as well have already become my favourite Shoujo of all time :). I feel like I was meant to watch this. Lots of familiar Seiyuu too, they have some of my personal favourites in Miki Shinichiro and Kuwashima Houko. I'm already liking the Shinsengumi cast and I already love Chizuru too (She's my type). ^^ Definitely watching this show! Modified by -Shuda-, 01-01-13, 11:47 PM |

Second attempt... The 'heroine' is going to irritate me all through this, but I got through Amnesia so I can get through this. All those pretty boys make it bearable. All those pretty boys. They're so pretty. Saito and Hijikata are my favorites. |
