| This was done masterfully. Johann is built up perfectly, and this is just the perfect first appearance for him. |
| I wonder if we saw Johan's good or monster side. From what I can see it is the monster one. There are few logical explanations for that. First of all, the good side would not be so calm. He is afraid of his monster side, terrified of his actions, thoughts. And he thinks that the monster side will eventually take all over him. Secondly, it was quite clear that Johan had no real emotions during this episode. It might seem that he was crying and helping everyone, however, it is also clear that he was deceiving everyone. Another reason why this is monster side, it was mentioned before that monster side is the dominating one. And that the good side sometimes takes it over. At some critical psychological moments. And lastly, the fat lady in the end. She mentioned Johan's eloquence. The good side is not in possession of such skills. Now that I had enough time to listen to his voice, I can say that the voice actor is perfect. It fits his personality flawlessly. Love it. |

| I don't know maybe Johan isn't quite as simple as everyone in these forums seems to think he is. Something just made me feel as though he was actually crying for Karl, I didn't feel as though it was fake at all. Also, his scene about the forest seemed genuine. I said it before and I'll say it again, this series isn't quite as black and white as everyone seems to want to think it is. I think Johann was a good showcase of that in this episode. |

| I'm pretty sure Johan gets off on manipulating people. In my mind he probably enjoyed crying manly tears for Tuesday dude. There's no way he just happened to be on that roof, he planned that all out. |

| Johan episode yay! About Episode: It seems this Richard dude is investigating Edmund Fahren and also Karl and Lotte but who Karl really is and is he good guy? Also that note they mentioned which was in Edmund's desk "I cannot deceive him any further" I wonder if it has something to do with Johan or Karl. I was pretty sure Johan is going to push Karl from that rooftop but no. Seeing Johan crying there was sad a little bit but I am pretty sure he is just gaining Karl's and Lott's trust in here and has already plan ready for them. That's why he can manipulate so many people. But it sure looked weird why that Schuwald could see after Johan gave him the apple. Maybe he has some powers to heal diseases. Or could be this Johan the good one before he became bad. That would explain why he was called Jesus Christ too. Interesting episode. 5/5 |

| another excellent episode! we have another persistent detective(much like Lunger) man Johan walking at the edge of a building and making it too easy! i thought he was gonna hypnotize Karl or something XD Johan's voice is soo gentle! though his smile can be creepy at times XD i think the reason he wants to take care of the kids is that he could train them and build his own army as soon as possible! was the apple drug or something O___O yes more Johan episodes next!! |

| I felt like crying at how poetic and incredible of a character Johan is. His charisma and charm is on a completely different level. I can see why he's able to capture the hearts of so many and bend them to his will, I'm having trouble avoiding his spell. This proper showcase of his character is not disappointing in the least. I started laughing when I saw Johan with all of those children. Something about that image was just so frightening and ironic, he was like a shepherd. |

| I don't feel like that was a mask. When he was crying, and also his little speech about the children. Yes, he's saying all that to gain their trust and everything, but he could be speaking honestly too. It comes so naturally to him. Why can't he be genuinely kind but still hate humanity and be twisted? I love this guy. He's awesome. He may seem creepy, but that's because we know him as a villain. Otherwise, he sounds frail, but very gentle and very sympathetic. I have been won over. XD When he pretended that the forest was still there, that was spectacular. Absolutely. Now who's his next victim? |

| We don't actually know that Johan has a split personality, though. Everyone is talking about different sides, but it's just as likely that all of this is part of his whole, entire twisted self. Understanding such a mind simply may not be possible. It was creepy, in any case. |
| Based on the theory he's faking the split personality to mess with Tenma, I would also say that those tears and the forest scenes were fake. | Johan is hot but he is very creepy indeed (and intimidating somehow). Now that we can actually see Johan, maybe we can finally see the process, you know, how he managed to deceive people, how he managed to do all those evil stuff. This time, with Karl as his target (or so I think). |
| Johan is so charming. I don't blame those people for being manipulated by him. I love him already! I can't wait to find out more about Johan and what makes him so evil. Great episode. This was much better than the last one. 8/10 |
| Okay, so like how are they just gunna throw Johan at us all so suddenly like this? Lol. I'm being sarcastic, but I just like how he'd only made a few appearances before & now all of nowhere, here he is, chillin w us like he's been w us this whole entire series. This basically sums up my opinion on what just happened: Us: "hey, what's up, Johan?" Johan: "Nun, chillin." Lol. Like seriously. Haha. And the biggest mind fuck for me was how I was like .."Omg...I don't want to like him...stop making him have a heart. Wait. Stop...Please. Stop. Stop being so nice. Oh no. Not the children. OH NO. Not the old man!" But my heart was sold on him when I saw how much the children adored him. How is this even possible? It's like...how can you make us love a character that should be so strongly despised. That's amazing. & that's what makes this anime so beautiful. I am so impressed & can't wait to see what's next. Edit: I also forgot to mention that the detective dude's seiyou sounded like Beau from Scooby Doo on Zombie Island & when I googled it, I found him!
