Most of the claymores like Clare and Teressa have boots made out of metal placed tight upside their legs from knee to ankle. There doesn't seem to be any opening-mechanism, so how can they get them off?

My guess is:

It's one of those things that doesn't make sense but the author didn't, don't and won't inteand to explain how.

If I remember right, their boots are made out of two pieces that slide in together from the front and back of the boot. I saw it explained somewhere but it was so long ago that I don't remember where lol.

If that is the case then they're damn well made those boots, cuz I don't see any signs on them being made of two pieces.

the boots or the greaves covering them? since they are skinny, it looks like both make the boots>.< so the armoured greaves cover the boots, fastened to them... standard armour thingie <3

yeah, the armor the claymores use is vaguely reminiscent of the type of armor knights in medieval times would use. In medieval times the bottom half of their armor would be boots, followed by greaves that would fasten around the calf and hold the boots in place, while still allowing for full range of movement of the ankle. then would follow some kind of chain or plate-mail covering the top half of the legs but still giving full range of movement. Although in medieval ties they'd use some light leather or chain-mail instead of the light weight cloth they seem to use in claymore, but that's not really important to the question.
