I was really looking forward to this show and it was a bit disappointing. If they had left out the not so funny jokes and the retarded moving animations that went along with them this would have been a whole lot better. Going to stick with it in hopes of the plot and characters holding up the show in spite of its wasted time on humor.

Overall, really liked this for a start. I only started the manga a few days ago, but I like the story.

Voices are spot on, so loving that aspect! I also didn't notice anything horrible about the animation but sometimes I just ...don't notice things. Plus it helps that I wanted to like this :)

i thought it was a great episode. OP is awsome. the ED is creepy yet fitting to the series, not something i would listen to.

Loved the voice acting with fukuyama jun and miyano mamoru. character designs are great. i think the animation is average i guess. the backgrounds are kind of plain imo.

the funny moments were good. looking forward to the rest of it

As I've never read the manga I can't really compare it but I actually loved the first episode.
Okay the animation could have been alot better but both the opening and ending themes worked well. I especially love the ending.
I'm also loving the Vampire guys. Can't go wrong there ;]

Can't wait till next week's episode.

Hmm good 1st episode.

Well... that was pretty disapointing. After all the hype going around the show I was expecting something good to turn up but what I did encounter was something average. Average storyline, at least so far. "Meh" comedy scenes. No character managed to peek my interest... and calling the animation average is saying the least considering nowadays standars. The music was in my view the only "plus" in the first episode.

They also managed to fail bad even before two minutes had gone by... (click the spoiler..)


In the first two screens you can see Kuran reaching out with a left hand & coat covered in blood. Yet in the next shot his left hand and arm no longer have that blood. And If that wasn't bad enough in the following shot he is helping Yuuki up with his right hand. Very nice.... (/sarcasm)

Still, my curiosity is taking the best of me and I'm be checking to next episodes to try to figure out what all the hype is about ^^.

They showed Zero being a vampire/half vampire too early. It would have been better if it was shown in the later episodes. But that being said, it was an ok first episode.

Meh. While I read the manga, I'm not a crazy fan of it, so I didn't have my hopes too high. It's okay. *shrugs* The seiyuus are the best part. They did a very good job, I thought.

I was torn with the animation. On one hand, it's very nice at times. But Yuuki... my goodness, what did they do to her? Her skin color looked weird half the time, and her hair was just horrid. She isn't nearly as cute as she is in the manga.

...I also laughed at the glowing red eyes. Lame~

But still, it was okay. I rather enjoyed most of it, especially the music (OP = love). I'll be looking forward to future episodes, anyhoo.

I enjoyed this first episode. Can't wait to see what happens later on in the series; looks like it's going to be pretty good.

good first ep imho, at least it got me interested, liked the colours and music alot, not much characterbuilding yet but i guess they'll get to it in due time, gonna keep watching this for shure :)

i never readed the manga before but im watching the anime
and i think its gonna be very intresting =D

hm, I think it was a bit disappointing ._. As someone said, Zeros "secret" is shown way to early. They should've focus on his hate for vampires in much more detail, and THEN
And Yuuki.. even though I like her in the Manga, I think she's gonna annoy me in the anime ô.o Can't explain that exactly, but.. ._.

Well, actually I don't have much motivation to keep up with this, but I'll be fair and look how it's gonna turn out in the next episodes..

op and ed are the best ones so far for the new season @_@ i like the repeating parts of the ops chorus XD

It's kinda obvious about halfway through in that scene in the barn, with the pills. And even before that that's a very common dramatic tool to use, to have one of the character hate a group of people which he is part of, especially with crappy vampire fiction.

I know this series will be great. I love the manga and so far they have been following the same storyline quite well, but they still add some new things to it. I love the ending theme!

Certainly can't compare it to it's oustanding manga counterpart but we haven't gotten very fair, only one episode. I liked the op okay, but I liked the ending theme better. The animation was pretty good, especially the backgrounds. I'm not too sure about Miyano Mamoru as Zero yet, but Yui Horie is good as Yuki.

I do think they could've waited before they did the whole because it was kind of soon... I was watching that and I was like "what, already?". XD

I'm enjoying it though and can't wait for the second episode next week.

Hello, I am quoting you for truth. Lmfao, this was so stupid. I'll keep watching it, but wow...the cliched personalities are ticking me off.

I had low expectations for the anime (since the art of the manga is too beautiful to even compare to the art of the anime) so when I actually watched it, I was impressed!

The seiyuu cast, for one, is basically amazing<3

I already ranted about this on LJ, so I'm pretty much ranted out on VK XD
