I think the art style was pretty unique.

but somehow Maka's voice sounded a bit weird... hmm

Awesome opening. As from the trailer I liked the art. The voice actors really do work but I still don't like Maka's for some reason. I'll get over it in time.

Great opening and beautifull translation from manga to anime. Animation is stunning and fluid. Watching such anime in HD is a treat =)

I hope Maka's VA improves quickly... anyway animation was great, op was awesome (needed more Medusa!!) and the music was fine. Blair = <3 and Maka's dad is a laugh. I'll be curious to see the differences between this and the uncut version and I'm looking forward to Blackstar making his debut next week :) Death the Kidd is going to be awesome in week 3 as welll!

Well, if I'm going to be honest I was a bit disapointed. The animation is not awesome in all aspects. Surely the backgrounds are but I think they exaggerated in the lack of detail character wise, and there were also a few shots were they seemed like sheets of paper.
Other than that the adaptation was quite nice, the comedy scenes were pretty good especially the ones with Deathscythe and Shinigami-sama. As for the actions scenes, there were good but I've seen better this season with Nabari.
I'm looking forward to see how they're going to handle the presentations of Black Star and Kidd.

Awesome start as expected, Maka's voice isn't that bad, i thought it was decent enough. The OP song alright, I enjoyed the ending more though.

I am a bit discontent with Black Star's VA since its the same person for Naruto, I hope I'll enjoy it this time around unlike Naruto.

I think you're mistaken. Black Star is voiced by someone different. Kobayashi Yumiko, to be exact.

Maka's VA does need some improvement, but i don't think it's that bad.

that's exactly what I thought after hearing Maka's voice for several minutes. :P

I enjoyed it immensely.

I didn't mind Maka's voice, what annoyed me is that her acting was very amateurish, to the point where it made Macross Frontier's Megumi Nakajima (Lanca Lee) look like a veteran in comparison. And Megumi Nakajima was rough!

I expect her to improve, I just hope it's quick because she is the main character along with Soul, at least we won't hear her again until episode 4.

I loved it. It has its ups and downs but is generally enjoyable. I wasn't hoping for the series to be 51 episodes, but if it stays good I'll keep watching it.

T_T i love it, never though i'll see Soul Eater animated and even less Bones doing it.
I don't liked some things, but the overall it's still a 5/5 for me.

Awesome animation as expected from BONES, great OP and ED and some interesting VA choices (especially Maka's seiyuu). I'm looking forward the seeing the other two weaponry pairs! I hope the animation quality remains high for the entire 51 ep series.
