| Ok so the end was quite the emotional shock one.....emotional that all the fang-less supported Akira...that was a nice scene.....liked it very much=> Fights were awesome!=>   The final scenes of the fight were really good! Liked it very much. Those guys=> I was also a little confused about the whole blood vial....was it to purge and destroy Mina clones or to absorb them into original Mina? The end with that laser weapon was so amazing I screamed......old lady is fried and ashed away! Yay!=> Overall 7/10 but soon it might be 8/10 or more because the BR were checked a little bit by me and they look very promising! I will give it that it made my rage go nicely and it was good horror minus loli effects of Mina. | As much as I hate Funimation and their shit, I guess I'll have to go on their site and watch it subbed that way...my Japanese isn't good enough to understand the stuff in a show with this much dialog. Oh well, I'll rewatch it on Blu Ray and hopefully by then we'll have real subs for episode 12 instead of Funimation's horrible quality ones. |

| Alright, after watching it..I'd have to say it was a decent ending. They heavily hinted at a second season which is probably likely since the mangaka is a huge Shaft fanboy and it's a decent seller according to the charts. I can see the dislike of the series overall since it strayed from the manga, however..it's the mangaka's fault since he wanted a loose adaptation of the manga and wanted "Shaft's genius" to play with the storyline. I'm a big Shaft fan and I enjoyed the series and I wouldn't mind a second season...maybe they could fix up the shortcomings of the first one with a second, who knows. |

| I actually really enjoyed this. Loved the last couple of episodes, first ones were shit. Also, the animation was horrible. Go SHAFT. >_> But it was still enjoyable. 7.5/10 Would've been an 8.5 if the animation was WAY better. Also, lol at sfw being slower than funi. |

| Alright, so I would have given this anime a 7/10 but, just to be a bit of a troll, i'll give it a 8/10. Haha. No but seriously, this anime wasn't that bad imo. I never read the manga, so I don't really have the privilege to compare it to but, I was never a fan of animes following the manga, along as the adaption is good of course. I think that's why they call it an adaption and not a replica. Anyway, the ending was alright. Not too shabby, I would say. I can't really comment any further cause it was great or horrible, it was just "ok, yeah... ok". OR maybe it's because I waited so dam long that I almost forgot this season exists. Why do you have to troll us on the last episode, it's retarded. Whatever, no more ranting. I'm done, the season is done, time for some Angel Beats. |

| Maybe if i didn't know the Manga i would´ve enjoyed the Anime more, but as it is this adaption is complete nonsense. I hated those eye screencaps, i hated the 60´s-discolight-mature-version of Mina and the tiger thing with Mei-Ren was the worst from all. And is it only me that scene in which Akira stood up, naked, with blood all over his body, instantly reminded me of "Vision of Escaflowne"? o.O Overall i will stick with the Manga and just forget this series.... >.> |

| The anime overall wasn't that bad, sure it was all over the place in terms of quality but it was a fun watch, hopefully the animation will get fixed with the DVD release and SHAFT please make a second season! 7/10 |

Anyway, this was just okay. I stopped comparing it to the manga since it completely went away from the plot after a while, but judged as an anime on it's own plots and merits, it wasn't that bad. It could have been way worse with some magic fix everything in the last episode bull like I thought they were going to do. Also, it could have had some Power of Love crap like Dragonaut (aka, what I think is the worst anime ever created) What I did really like is that they threw in as much of the manga as they could into the last minute. The Fangless kids, the Fangless crowd cheering Akira on, a fateful reveal with Kamen Rider expy (though since Mei Ren is anime-only, it was somebody different in the manga) and showing the Cradle which I thought they had forgotten about. That being said, Were-cat wut? And DBZ fighting which made me go "WHAT?" and then "Damn, this is awesome" and then "What?" Animation was all over the place but this is SHAFT. I'm used to it and it'll be fixed up for the BD/DVD's anyway. All in all, a mediocre adaptation but on it's own merits, it's not something I hated. 7/10 for me. (I still like the OP and ED songs) |

I actually kinda liked the ending for something anime-original but still they butchered the manga ;A; voice acting was really great in this episode and in my opinion the ending, as long as I keep in mind that the anime is a deviation from the manga, was kinda good. 7/10 because it had its moments and Meiren died :DD |

| Interesting ending, I didn't really understand what Akira saw, multiple Mina's?! Wtf? Series gets a 7/10 Wasn't bad, I liked the atmospheric quality of it but the plot was a bit ...crappy. |

| I really think it's unfair to compare the anime to the manga... The two should be rated and discuses separately. I think the fight with Mei was lame, but overall the episode was nice. I am glad for the happy ending and I think I will go with a 7/10 |

Nozumi Tamaki made somewhat of a wager with SHAFT to do it differently, and so they did (and he got a small role in the show himself in return). Overall, I liked this show. Not the best ever, but definitely not as bad as many people say it is. I give it a 7.5 for now and might raise it to 8 once I've seen the Blu-Rays. |

| SHAFT have really outdone themselves this time and produced a grand finale of mediocracy and emotionless-garbage.. No calling this episode mediocre is giving it too much credit because it absolutely SUCKED on so many different levels. Again anyone who rate this SHAFT anime above 7 (which it don't deserve either) must eat shit for breakfast... Me I'm rating it as a 5 and that' only because it's loosely based on a good manga. |
| So it ended. Actually am a little relieved because it was kind of an abomination destroying the reputation of the manga and it now finally over. I don't care that they changed the story completely in this last episode since such adaptation is better off having a different story than the manga and in general this episode was a little better than other more chaotic ones but the whole series was badly directed with developments and facts thrown in to our faces out of nowhere stupid kill time episodes at the start, poorly animated battles, red screens (and yellow in this episode) of death, stupid eye scenes and many more. This anime wasn't destroyed by the fact that it had an alternative story but by the fact that it was simply badly made. SHAFT has no idea how to make this types of shows and should never try again because it destroys them. So for this episode they created a second Mina as a rival of the original and they made her the leader of Telomere if i understood right. They made the three clans members of Telomere also. It doesn't explain the role of them wanting Mina as a future vampire mother since they have a clone. The most strange thing though is the fact that by creating such story they are sending messages for a second season. Were they really pleased by what they made and they want to make a second one? Do this people have no realization of there actions? In general a good show that was very badly made and turned into just average. The only thing i liked in Shaft's work was the OP/ED songs and the voices of the the main characters, especially Mina's. Other than that they tried there best to destroy Dance in the Vampire Bund. With the material existing from the manga any other studio even not so great ones will have done a lot better job. |

| Is there any other subbers that subbed ep 12 besides Funimation? I think this series is really suffering atm because of the really Low quality subs/video that have been thrown out. I think this series deserves better then most people give it credit for. |

| Hmm... quite a different fight, compared to manga volume 5... Really feels they rushed things, and put Mei-Ren as an enemy... That was interesting anyway ;) On the other hand, big spoiler at the end... Damn, i want the next volumes now !! 7/10 because of the three last episodes... Rushing things is never good... |

Meiren was a servant of Telomere, so if the Three Families were too, why would she say: (talk with Akira before the battle) "Because I've been waiting patiently. For the top rulers of vampires, Mina Tepes and the Three Families, to gather in one spot. For the chance to finally reduce them to ashes. A chance for me, and for that person" (Mina's clone) (Yuurisan-Subs) So they left a lot to explain, but I don't want to speculate about that, because there'll be a second season! It has to be XD |
