According to GIGAZINE, a new original robot anime project "Kihei Senki Legacies" was announced at Tokyo International Anime Fair 2010. It's assumed to be a 52-episode TV series. Key illustration of Kihei Senki Legacies Staff Original Story: Kibayashi Shin Mecha Design: Okawara Kunio Character Design: Nakayama Daisuke (the mecha designer of "Vexille - 2077 Nihon Sakoku") Production Studio: TRICK BLOCK (CGI works of "Eve no Jikan") Synopsis: The story takes place in Kisshou City, one of a few remaining oasis surrounded by lifeless land devastated by a long world war. Wreckages of humanoid weapons, called "Legacies", are collected and reassembled by the residents of the city. One day, a gang of bandits approaches the city to seize the secrets hidden in the Legacies. The mayor decides to intercept them with a special robot Ω99, which has remained intact since the war. That's the reason why that mecha looks like gundam ripoff. Interesting original anime series but i will wait for further news whether I'm interested to this show or not. |
