Assuming OVA IV ends with zeppelins over London (haven't checked it out yet), I'd cap the series at 7 episodes total.


Possibly stretch it out to 8, but that's how I'd frame it.

If they do include stuff from The Dawn as well, which I think is quite likely, that would add quite a lot as well.

The ongoing prequel to the manga, entitled Hellsing: The Dawn, is set in September of 1944, in the midst of World War II. The story features Walter (then only 14 years old) and Alucard fighting Millennium in Warsaw, Poland. Because of its popularity, the importance of the story in relation to Hellsing, and the fact that some scenes from The Dawn were present in the OVA trailer, it is possible that The Dawn will be animated as part of the new OVA series.

I'm not saying that Wikipedia is trustworthy, though it's possible.

Eh, The Dawn isn't even a full volume's worth of material. Might pad the length of individual episodes, but there's not enough to furnish a whole eighth episode.

Again, my opinion. Don't hang me if they announce Dawn OVA this afternoon.

However, we have no idea how much The Dawn Hirano is planning to make, and since the OVAs come out so rarely, there might be published a lot of new Dawn chapters before the next one, let alone last one, comes out.
Who knows, maybe Hirano will suddenly release a torrent of The Dawn chapters right before finishing Hellsing...

well, Hellsing is soon to be finished, and Dawn is still incomplete, so if Hirano continues with Dawn during the time it takes to finish OVA V-VII it could fill up a eight OVA. Let's all hope for more Hellsing :3

<lol>, only 7?! I don't think so. There will be at least 9. Maybe they want to make 12 eps, who knows...

One episode of OVA is equal or almost equal to one volume of manga, so I think it'll be 10 or 11 episodes of OVA series.
