Holy shitttttttt. Very nice pace.

The doctor still seems melancholy. Odd. He's successful, has girls fawning over him, his peers are envious of him and interns hold him in high regard.

Perhaps Donnie Darko was right, some people are just born with tragedy in their blood.

Tenma looks pretty much the same after 9 years.

Didn't think it'd be such a huge time skip and I love the supsense.

Tenma got really lucky. Three people dead but the path to someone's bright future opened again. And that Eva has no shame at all, or maybe it's just her parasitic nature? To take Tenma for a fool is beyond cynic... Whatever, life goes on and all bad things remains in the past. Or maybe not. Btw, tt would be surprising if that 'monster' would be not a boy saved by Tenma.

One of the best things about Monster is that it takes a very slow pace and sets the mood and characters up really well. This episode is a great example of that.

The kite scene was so beautiful <3 But this "monster" is really scaring me D: And it's like 3 am. Man, I should go to bed, but this is just too good.

I like this anime but it's too slow paced...

thank god he left the bitch! Would have been so pissed if he decided to accept the "lets start fresh" bs. Also the ending song is pretty creepy, not gonna lie.

About Episode:

I knew someone was going to tell Tenma what happened yesterday night. But it couldn't been Tenma at least I don't believe so because he was so drunk. It has something to do with those twins.

Funeral part was kind of sad I mean Tenma can still accept that Director's nature and it just describes well how he cared for him even though he was just a evil man.

So 9-years timeskip didn't expected that and Rungus named investigator haha that hobby of his is kind of cool. Analyzing situation with shaking hand.

Haha nice job Urasawa.So those candies were poisoned I see but were Director got those candies it's unsolved yet.

But that investigator is wrong it's not Tenma and I still belive it's Johan. But what was that man escaping well don't know.

Haha Tenma did right choice when Eva asked to start over with everything just walking way without saying anything haha :DD
And those twins where are they now??

Yeah ED kind of getting creepy too.

Loved the 9 year time skip. Time for him to relax his mind and slow down the pace of the story rather than a frantic "I didn't do it!" setup.

Sucks it seems to be taking a predictable path...

freaky and creepy detective....monster is coming...slowly and graduately this anime is absorbing me in it's mystyreous atmosphere...I hope it'll be interesting till the end

I'm really glad he turned Eva down, to me she just seemed like a money grabber, or someone after power. She got rid of him when he was demoted, but then minute he was promoted, she wanted him back. Yeah...

Oh and I really loved the scene with the kite. :)

What was the point of the timeskip exactly? Well, nevermind. That detective seems like an interesting character. Also that "monster is coming" made me curious.

Slow pace but great dialogues. And some sort of uneasiness also. I like this series already, it so realistic in comparison to other animes.
