Overall this series would have gotten a 7/10 from me if not for Hosaka who single-handedly rose my rating up to an 8/10xP, this series would have been so much better if there were more Hosaka X Haruka moments, even if just in his imagination>.< |

Good thing that the series ends with the best episode of the season ! Still it was vastly inferior to the first season all in all. 7/10 |

The first series was better, but Okawari was by no means a bad series. Loved both, beginning to end. ![]() |

Cihan said: Yeah, like I'm supposed to believe KANA is the one who's accepting of the situation and tries to be responsible? 4 out of 10 and I'm generous. Goodbye and good riddance. You would be suprised how often the strong ones fall apart in those kind of situations in real life. Chiaki's whole world is going to be turned upside down and inside out leaving her completely out of any kind of control in her life. Kana on the otherhand lives by the seat of her pants and rolls with the punches. This makes her more adaptable in these kind of situations. Overall I give the episode a 9 out of 10 forthe tear filled breakdown by Chiaki and Kana after all their hard work. Plus Hosaka flying off to San Fran laughing all the way :) |

there were two stellar moments in this otherwise bleh episode i can't find it in myself to forgive this sub par series for not having the minami brothers in it or for abandoning all the things that made the last series worth watching and especially not for calling pretending this is the second season when they might as well be entirely different series. 6/10 (it would be lower but i can't help but feel that i wouldn't have hated so many things about it if it wasn't supposed to be minami-ke's sequel) |

6/10 for me. The first season was way better but the graphics in this one where very attractive. Its just to bad they couldn't add better jokes and not reuse content from the first season (ie. the first 3 or 4 eps where remakes). I have one question, what did the letter that Chiaki got in the mail say? I'm guessing it's from the glasses kid. She turned kind of red when she was looking at it...can someone translate what it said? |

Aside from the fact that it seemed weird for kana to be all responsible and cleaning and stuff, it was really funny. Oh, and i loved how they brought back the original opening at the end. It made me smile. And we did get Hosaka's wonderful laugh. but overall 6/10 for me. The first season was much better. |

I'm not getting myself influenced by all those people who say that the first season was 'much better', because I can't compare the series if they are made by different studio's. It was great, nothing bad about it, if you get yourself in comparing the two series then the second is lame in some ways, but it had some moments I laughed harder then in the first season. i.e. the teruterubouze, that was damn funny ^=^ Overall an 9/10 (Hosaka gave the last point away...the humor put in him was not my kind of humor). GREAT SHOW Third helping, anyone? ~de Arimasu |

A good ending, and a series that is still a good decent watch that just has too much to live up to in the first season. 7/10 for the series. |

yakyuu-addict said: I think they went too much for the "slice of life" approach at the beggining and relied on old gags for jokes. They tried to fix this by improving the animation (gasp, no more shadow people !), the jokes and the writing in the latter half, but it was too little, too late. A good ending, and a series that is still a good decent watch that just has too much to live up to in the first season. 7/10 for the series. A decent season by it's own right, completely overshadowed by it's first run (as second runs tend to be). That said, this last episode completely beats season 1's ending episode, as it actually IS an ending, instead of just another episode. Unlike what some people here thought, I actually found it quite belieavable for Chiaki to lose her composure over losing her big sister (who she's completely attached to), while Kana does has some good intentions every once in a while behind her idiot exterior. And was it just me or did they try to mimic the first season's animation during the last part of the episode? |

Loved this last episode. The bit where Haruka told them she wasn't going abroad brought a tear to my eye. Still, I wish the rest of the series had been this good. I gave it a 7/10 in the end. Leon-Gun said: Was it just me or did they try to mimic the first season's animation during the last part of the episode? Leon, I think you're right. The last two episodes saw a slight improvement in production values, that almost redeemed Asread. I'm guessing that they needed to show they were capable of listening to fan complaints and fixing perceived problems, in order to get the contract to produce the third season. Making the extra effort there seems to have paid off for them. |

I have to be honest here, I enjoyed this season much better than the first. Still a solid "8" for me. Oh and I am assuming that was a postcard from Fuyuki, right? ![]() "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." Best ending ever. Seriously, not even Cowboy Bebop's ending tops Hosaka's leaving Japan with his epic laugh that hasn't been heard since the first season. Overall though, the second season, while still good, was highly inferior to the first. Still liked it enough to give it a 7/10 though. (It would probably be a 6 if not for Hosaka) |
