this was probably one of my favorite episodes so far. i felt terrible for the twin that got locked away. i just don't understand how that man could love one of them so much and completely hate the other. still i couldn't believe that the other twin could possibly ruin her sister's life!! and her TWIN sister nevertheless! D: i also feel awfully bad for little shagumi (?) she's just a little kid and has to see all these terrible visions. i have to say i really hope that more freaky hell visions continue because they're really what i like best about this series to begin with!

yeah it can be repetitive but i think they're trying to mix it up ever so slightly. it has twists and turns here and there. i wanna see the episode called 'hell girl vs hell boy' ALREADY!!!

okay yeah maybe the twin did deserve to get sent to hell, but so did the manager!!! But what baffles me is.... after its all done, the manager treats the abused girl like her twin.. and she's happily smiling at him... personally if i got shoved in a dark room, getting whipped by dad or whatever, i certainly wouldn't be acting like that D: but hey thats just me!

Still an intresting episode though, thats 2 in a row where i've enjoyed it and not wanted to drop YES!!! Keep it joing Jigoku, i have faith!!!!

This was a great Episode really great! A quite saddened story but the ending was quite wonderful! Also the reporter and the little girl makes this story line much better by the episode!

Bit of a suprise that the twin sister got sent to hell instead. The guy was the one who was being horrible, but the twin sister should've felt some guilt...but I guess she is only a little girl. Also the girl choosing to send the sister to hell shows how silly little kids see who is to blame.

If she cursed the guy, her sister would still be around to manipulate her.
If she cursed her sister, she would become the replacement (and a mandatory one, at that. as far as their customers knew, she didn't have a twin. if word got out that they were twins and that one of them disappeared, it wouldn't be good for their business) and she wouldn't have to put up with her sister.

It was actually a rather logical choice (not considering the fact that she damned herself to hell for eternity), and I actually was predicting that would happen.

As for this episode, the ending part where the sister got dragged to hell seemed a bit... different. It sorta felt like Ai was taking it a bit personally, and gave her "special" torture treatment.

Plot twist again!

I was mad at the headmaster of the circus, but her little twin sister was horrible and I might even say, worst! She sabotaged her own sister (flesh and blood)! The victim sister was having flashbacks of her little sister evil deeds and she almost lost her mind, because of it...

Was hoping the sister repent, but oh well, children are monster's sometime.

Finally putting these facts together, it seem Emma is sending those messages to the girl/father, to stop her from getting more souls.

Even mother teresa believes Emma is more of a saint than her!

I just knew it had to be the sister and not the father when I saw her flash backs. the torture she had till sent to hell was cool and I thought a child would be afraid and repent but guess not amazing episode again.

This episode was particularly beautiful. Also I wasn't expecting the girl to want revenge on her sister. I thought she'd send that man to hell.

I'm not sure who should be sent to hell, the father or the twin.

Shibata is really getting on my nerves. What sort of person would feel any sympathy for a person who just WHIPPED a girl, and try to save him? Save your sympathy for those who deserve it. Jeez. That father deserves hell. And Shibata, trying to mess with such a big force in the world it seems. Does he think he is bigger than hell? Such a big ego.

I was honestly hoping this would be the episode where we saw what would happen if the person getting sent to hell confessed. It almost looked like she was about to for a second there...but of course she didn't >_>.

The fact that the manager just got away with what he did really annoyed me, its even worse since nobody really seemed to care in the end. Why would the girl who got beat and caged up like an animal just stay with him and act like nothing happened? Why wouldn't Shibata try to expose the guy or at least call the police after seeing what he did to her? I mean there was plenty of evidence all over her body to get him locked up...

Meh :/

Why did Yumi kill her twin sister when she could have killed the ringmaster? Cause it would make for a great plot twist that's why! I bet no one was expecting that! Hajime did some really derpy stuff this episode. Lemme grab a hold of Yuki so I look like a fucking child molester! I gotta give this episode at least a 4/5 cause they made the death scene this episode fucking epic.

I was so happy to see a circus episode, was kind of expecting it :)
In my opinion, Yumi chose the right person, because if she sent the chef, who would be left for her? The cause of her problems (her twin sister) still would be there and I don't think the other people at the circus would take care. Just think about the way they treated each other... That's at least what I think...
Ai showing something like empathy was also pretty new here, which I liked. I am looking forward to finding out about her past, so I can be able to understand why all of this happens.
This and the second episode are my favorites so far ^^

How the did the Twin deserve to go to hell when she was just acting like a spoiled kid? The only reason she even became that way was because the headmaster gave her all the attention while ignoring the sister. Not to mention that the POS whipped the kid and kept her in a dark room like an animal.

Now she's all happy in the end because she's getting all the attention from this bastard. How is that any different from what the one that got sent to hell?

I feel like this episode was by far the best. I was so emotionall connected its crazy i really felt sad for the girl. But to think she would send her TWIN sister to hell rather than an asshole father wow. Well as it turned out her sister was a spoiled bitch but isnt it theirs fathers fault?
What I didnt understand tho is why did father just accept the fact the girl dissappeared through a mirror? He didnt even try to call the detectives or something.

Can i also talk a bit about how much greater the hell was in this episode? Those skeleton arms, the rope with lava below it. Great. Also felt like Ai was much more emotionally involved with the girl. Could it be that she knows how that girl felt? And probably the reason that girl got hell is because of how her twin sister suffered and how Ai was angry at her?
How did Hone Anna got into the box tho? did the girl trick her? Also like the biggest question is how Ren and her got into the crew so fast lol. IT looked like everyone knew them quite a bit there kinda doesnt make sense...

Also its the only episode(in this anime) where i actually teared up so good job Jigoku shoujo.

I really liked this episode.. The twist was a very nice touch. I was expecting the manager to get banished..

I believe that both twins deserve hell. The one girl that actually knew about her sister, but still didn't help her and even sabotaged her all the time, and the other one for killing her own sister, even though the man was the one hurting her. At the end of the episode we can she that she is actually happy about the whole thing and happily talking to the man that was bulling her the previous night.

+ the old man is chill after seeing the one twin being devoured by a mirror.. he's not even questioning what just happened. He just welcomed the older sister like nothing happened ..

in a way her sister was at fault, cause her sister made her look clumsy made her fall a lot, made her fail a lot so she could look better & cause of that the boss asshole beat her & later when her sister was gone the beating stopped & she was the star, she was as guilty as the asshole boss cause she knew what will happen & she didn't care as long she can be the star

also what her sister did was twice as bad, for one she got beaten cause of what she did to her sister & second it was bullying what she did to her sister, so she was bullied twice by her sister & by the asshole boss

so both are almost equally bad, so hard to chose who to send, but u know how emotions so she so her sister as mane bad that cause of her she got beaten up by that asshole boss & didn't see that the asshole boss is as much as fault by beating her, cause for her it was normal considering the environment she grew up in that she gets beaten if she fails or does bad so she only so her sisters fault

Well, damn... I guess I can't control the older twin's feelings but the father/manager is the one who should have gone to hell.

The bond between the three of them is interesting and twisted. It's pretty damn sad that she still seeks his acceptance and acknowledgement despite -or maybe BECAUSE of- that torture...

This was probably the first time the hell cast interfered directly with the detective's work. I'm worried they might send him to hell

This episode was nice as well but I can't wrap my mind about one important thing: Is it so that the characters who get sent to hell are completely forgotten from everyones minds like they never existed (just the person who pleads for punishment upon them remembers?). Otherwise it seems really weird to me how e.g. the circus director really seemed to not care in the end even though he saw that one twin vanishing.
