What a strange first episode. I'm assuming the rest will be different, and I do hope so since I think this was fine for introduction but could get annoying after awhile.

Oh well, looks unique and that's what I like!

Don't know about the episode... not the most exciting stuff I've seen, but it was o.k. I guess. Telling the story "through the shutter" is an interesting approach.

Not so good: I didn't know there were mechas in this anime, I hope there won't be any angsty teenage mecha-pilots.

And in FLAG-world, Hakan is a woman's name!

Off to episode two.

interesting...
the camera constantly taking pictures got annoying after a bit. I wouldn't mind if they spaced it out between shutters though.

Without any excitement whatsoever, yet quite interesting!
Slow story development makes a strange, unique kind of
atmosphere which I actually like. Plus:

and I agree. Looking forward to the rest of the show.....
and I have a feeling it's gonna be a good watch and maybe
even touching, since it has to do with a war... ^_______^

I'm watching this dubbed since I couldn't find with only subs but this isn't bad at all, so I think I'll stick with the dub.
Different experience here... Nothing really great but I liked the animation style and the serene atmosphere. The camera shots became annoying for a while though, lol. Good. Looking forward to watch what else there is for this show.

Slow first episode.
I particularly liked the end where we, the viewer, got to see exactly how big the HAVWC is.

I'm quite interested to see the war scenes she captured.

Okay, so I'm watching this anime in dub. I sorta like that it's unique so far with the photography and the different way this anime is portrayed. So what I'm getting at for the first episode is there's this girl, she likes to take photos. The guy does too. He (or the girl??) took a photo of the flag with two women behind it praying. This is supposed to represent peace. The photo became famous. The girl takes a trip to a country and takes pictures too. Then she's showed top secret classified weapon information. Idk how they gave that info to her. So its a little confusing and a bit info dumpy sometimes, but I will continue to watch this. I feel this anime may take me longer to finish because it's not too interesting,

This first episode was really good, this anime's format is pretty unique too. I liked the presentation here, and if this continues it may become a really compelling, and poignant portrait of war. I also liked that the main team is pretty diversified, and it's cool that there's another japanese, and that he's one of the pilots of that mecha.

This is such a unique approach to storytelling with some interesting metatextual elements tossed into the mix as well. It's very much in the vein of something like a Chris Marker film or The Battle of Algiers (1966). I don't know if I've ever seen a docudrama anime before but this has my attention and I love the slower pacing.
