According to Monthly Comic Beam April issue, Shimura Takako's manga Hōrō Musuko was announced to get an anime adaptation. The volume 10 of the manga will be released on March 25th.

It sounds quite interesting and it seems to have potential to be actually good for once. I will probably check it out when it airs.

I haven't read the manga, but from the MAL summary it sounds interesting enough; the gender bending tag is usually a plus for me.

Well, I will definitely be checking it out when it airs, in any case.

Might have to check this out.. But I'm more stoked about the manga being licensed, personally. It is a truly remarkable series. That, plus the Fantagraphics manga line along with more Moto Hagio in English is the best news I've read in quite some time.

Why yes. I enjoyed Shimura Takako's "Aoi Hana" a lot, so can't wait to see another title of her being animated.
