Well like others, I cried watching the ending. I was hoping that the two of them would be together. They had finally gotten things straight between them. It was hard to watch her running behind the train and him trying to keep sight of her. This was a bit Romeo & Juliet for me. I would hope for a 2nd season where things continued...but I not sure I could live through more of that gut wrenching that the last couple episodes had. I would give it 8/9 out of 10. |

Wow, that was far too sad for me.. It broke my heart time and time again seeing her chase that train after the man she loves. At first, I really fealt bad for Nana-chan because she seemed so fragile and adorable. I hate seeing people like that go through this kind of stuff. But as the series went on, especially this last episode, she showed her strength (even though she shed tears). I liked that she told off (altho very lightly) Takeuchi, that made me so happy. And as for a second season, I hope to god they don't make it. Or if they do, keep it as far away from me as they can. This anime made me far too sad that I could barely sleep at night. It just connects far too well with my emotions, and what I went through in my past. The only reason I'm giving this anime a 7/10 is because it made me cry at some points. Otherwise Bokura ga Ita deserves at least a 9/10. |

One of my favorite anime ever. Anyone who's been through a relationship knows how real this show feels. It conveys the emotions of the characters better than any romance I've seen. The ending, while open, is fitting. "We Were There." They existed. "They" meaning not the two individuals, but they as a couple. No matter what happens, they'll always have those feelings and experiences. As this anime is really about a first love, it really fits, in my opinion. @ByakuyaKana: How the hell does an anime making you cry make you give it a lower score!? That means it was powerful enough to really affect you emotionally. Last time I checked, that wasn't a bad thing. I suppose Romeo and Juliet is terrible too because they die at the end, and that probably made you cry, as well. |
