Kigeki - that is for sure the best OVA in the series. I liked the narration, the art style and the music. A great piece for such a short one :D

Definitely the best one in the series so far. Everything was good. The music(some ave maria is always welcome), the art was dark and great looking( I especially liked the shots of the people's legs or horses legs moving), and the story was interesting. A swordsman that only moves for books, I liked it, I would love to see a dark anime like this as a movie.

I liked it a lot. Anime with dark gloomy ambiences are my favourite.

So far, nobody has talked about the incorporation of Schumann's Der Erlkonig in the short ( when black knight was fighting the English), I was wondering why the producers chose the song.

Der Erlkonig can be literally translated into the Alder King, or King of the faeries. In Goethe's poem (which Schumann had used to set for his lied), the Erlkonig was depicted as a malevant spirit who preys on young children. Perhaps that was why the ending surprised me ahah.

Like most of the people here, it was also my favorite out of the bunch. Good thing I left it for the last. The atmosphere and the artstyle were phenomenal. Definitely going to check Nakazawa's other works. 8/10 for this one.
