So Kou lied to Aoba about whether or not he liked her, but what was his answer? Did he tell her yes or no? Whatever it may be, he means the opposite.

I have a feeling this will be a Kou/Aoba end. Kou's gonna hit 160 kmph in the next episode.

Yea, I'm predicting the same. I'm conflicted, b/c Akane is so awesome, but I still think I would rather have the Kou/Aoba ending. I'm so sad this show's gonna end T^T. I will miss you Cross Game. Urahara Out!!

Hmmm. Aoba asking Kou who he likes more. Or Kou's question in response. It's hard deciding which question I liked more. Think I'll go with Aoba since its probably the closest she's come to tipping her hand in regards to her feelings IMO.

Game's on and there's only 4 more episodes left. I always have mixed feelings when series I love near it's end. Equal parts bliss (can't wait to see the end) and dread (no, it's gonna end)...

I've been rooting for a Kou/Aoba pair the whole time, so I'm really psyched to finally see her open up and admit her feelings.

Kou's reponse to her questions, "Is a lie alright" is so purposefully vague, grr! But it's really the perfect response. I think he's just not ready to admit that he likes her yet, either. But they are getting so close!

AH! His response was so vague! I'm so happy that Aoba is finally admitting to her feelings. I feel really bad for Yuuhei though. He's so genuine :(

Hmm Akane already said to Kou to tell Aoba the truth right? so what Kou said is the truth, well we have to wait till the last episode to know what the sentences are XD

The V thing with Momiji was cute.

I loved this episode, one of the better ones. I loved when the music kicked in in the second part (around when Senda asked Kou about Aoba) <333

Great point! Which means that if Kou followed her advice....he would've told the truth - but Aoba will think it's the opposite since she'll think it's a lie..

Whole episode was just building up the suspense, in terms of the game and Akane's surgery. Loved it, but I can't wait to see the actual game next week :P

I don't usually saying this but oh well, I loved this episode. Do I really have to go into detail again about the episode? I don't think so.

I LOLed at Momiji giving the V sign to Kou without knowing how important it was.

As for Kou's response to Aoba, I think it is pretty clear that he would say YES. Since he already said it once just before that with Senda in this episode. From how Senda was testing him about his lying I believed that what Kou said it might not be 100% right but that might something that closet to the right answer we can get.

mostly i am sad that this is all coming to a close - the last few seasons of anime have been less than spectacular, but cross game was a constant performer. at least i will finally have time to finish Touch, another great Adachi baseball series!

I caved and read the rest of the manga to find out what happens, lol. I couldn't wait any longer.

I kind of can't believe she out and out asked him. What is with the romances in the shows I'm watching lately? Everything is hitting a peak. Oh well, I thought it was a good episode, but it could have been less ambiguous about Aoba/Kou.

Also, what this episode did best was make me feel like they won't actually win against Ryuou. So now I'm actually anticipating the outcome of the game.

I find Kou's character's development come a little late, but I guess that has to tie in with how he copes with Akane's situation and his response to Aoba's Question.
I'm glad to see Aoba being more true to herself, though I was also a little surprised that she'll pop that Question to Kou on the day before the regional finals.

As for the Question, I guess it's pretty obvious how it'll turn out. I get the vibes that Aoba seem to understand after Kou asked her whether he could lie about it.

Even Senda shows a side that we're unaware of, and that makes me look forward to watching the upcoming match even more.

I'm so sad that this anime is coming to an end pretty soon D:

I don't want to watch this any further..
In the early stages I was struggling to get into it, since I'm not into 'long' shows, but now I really don't want to end it, since it feels so rushed all of a sudden.

I have become to really like this show.

(Although the couples are already set in stone.. Azuma and Aoba still would make a good team.)
