Good first episode, a set up for an epic story. I can see some resemblances with Macross here, it's no surprise though, this anime was an inspiration for a lot of future works. Oldest anime Im watching after Lupin III, very interisting concept so far (no original by todays standards, but looking back 30 yars ago, it was something new).  |

Oh god. I decided to watch this on SyFy. The dub is horrendous! The animation, dreadful. Did he actually walk right through that door? The story so far might end up being the only strong point. Off to episode 2. |

You've gotta keep in mind that during this era anime was seen as kiddy stuff and nothing was given very much money. From my experience, you don't start seeing great animation until the 80's. Anyways, I thought some of the animation was interesting, and there's obviously some creative minds working on this. I like the story a lot so far, though I admit that it's just getting started. I've got high hopes based off this first episode. “I can't stand pretty opinions!” |

The first episode was interesting enough, I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes. There was too much military action for my taste, don't care for that stuff. The robot was funny and we got some funky background music rarely heard in anime. Must have been awesome to be a kid watching this in the 70s. |

So we meet again, Central Anime? Thank you for your great work (especially on the entirety of LOGH). Anyway, Started watching this whole "Uchuu" franchise and nice 1st episode. And the animation isn't that bad for it's time, I think it's probably better than Cutey Honey for example.. |
