| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It's early in the series, and I already love Haruhi-- her bossy nature and crazy ideas-- I laughed out loud several times! I didn't like the ending though, it left me hanging in not a good way and I can't watch the next one till tomorrow. *sniff* I have the feeling as the characters develop, it will just keep getting better. |

I laughed so hard at that part. |

| I thought that Haruhi would probably drive me crazy... and I was right, she grates at my soul. But still, I'm enjoying it and I get the feeling that the show is going to get better from here |

| I'm re-watching this series in chronological order. This is THE episode you are thrown at your face most of the information and the explanations of what will happen in the next episodes. One of the most interesting episodes so far, because what is discovered is just too engaging and thoughtful! |

| I follow the Kyon version, the not chronological order so this episode was about the esper guy... I liked it a lot :) Things are getting really interesting and wow Haruhi sure is powerfull. I don't really like her, for some reason she annoys me a bit but Kyon and the new guy make it all up for me xD And the other girl (Yuki) is nice :) |

| wow, i'm realizing how many familiar english anime voice overs i recognize. crispen freeman as kyon, jonny yong bosch as itsuki,jennifer swekiguchi as mikuru, and michelle ruff as yuki! all of my favorite voice actors from my favorite animes!! |

| Absolutely not sure of what order to watch this show in. Just finished the Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya, onto episode 5 since that is the episode they said should come next O_O |
| Haruhi! :) I don't know if it's just me but I get some Holo vibes from her. Perhaps the superiority and cunningness to go with her fun and playful nature. (Of course, Holo would be required to take Hyper pills ^^) Oh yeah, laugh at me but Haruhi and Mikuru in a bunny suit = the reason I really started this series ^^. Any way, this entire "order" is intriguing. I watched the episode where Haruhi blackmailed the Computer Club and Mikuru lost her "virgin mentality" lol. Yuki claiming her and Haruhi to be some sort of extraterrestrial being is an important scene to recall too. I hope I don't juggle the watching order back and forth. |

| So, Koizumi is introduced and he reveals his nature as well and so does Mikuru. Haruhi continues to be awesome, and Kyon is confused. It occurs to me that there has been quite a bit of foreshadowing to future plot lines in these first three episodes. |

| The blackmail scene left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It was a milder case of "girl falsely accuses man of rape", no thanks. |
| Wow. What just happened? First an alien, then a time-traveler, and even an esper? o_o Just exactly what Haruhi wanted! So much crazy information was thrown in face that I don't even know what to think. I think I may rewatch this episode again. The directing is really interesting...and confusing, especially during Nagato's scene with the fast speaking and words flashing quickly onto the screen. Asahina's was weird too, the dialogue fades in and then fades out. I guess it really fits the alien to have the information given in a jumbled up manner, and the other fitting of the time-traveler of "fading" into the past and future? The director definitely knows what he's doing. |

| Well, at least Haruhi dons a bunny suits, too. And whatever that other outfit would be. It's the same with undressing in front of whoever happens to be nearby. Thats quite a big difference to many bossy people. The problem lies in the fact that it's not embarassing for her at all, while Mikuru is already making plans in case her future is ruined.. |
