This show is....odd.....something seems missing from it. First episode was better IMO and it wasn't even that good.

The stamp thing...it seems the people that wanted the Russian Secetary General ie. The Pro Communists group dead needed to get stamps to pay the best assassain in the world ie. Stamp (guy with shades) but they couldn't find the stamps necessary thus turning to Rin.

Rin found the professor who had them who lost his money on future exchanges, a type of stock market where people trade potential commodities and deals (I think), was beaten and the stamps were taken to pay the hitman.

Then Maeno goes out and meets this girl Yuki who's brother was turned into an angel...I'm guessing the bad spot he was attending is where he got entangled with the snakehead guy and the pro Commie guy to hack in and get details on the routes and security for the Secretary General. He was turned into an angel by Apos and told the people that worked with him ie. the prostitute, the girl who gives him the disk and gets murdered, the SG, and so forth were the reason he was an angel now.

At least that's what I think....

How did Rin figure this out iunno. How the angel died was stupid though. It seems Maeno is aging fast...he is a clone after all. I don't get what the professor was talking about ruining his life...maybe from not selling them? As for the one eyed assassin chick...I think Apos sends her after Rin to mess with her head. It's clear that healing isn't fun for her.

That shootout in the middle of a jogging route is one of the most brilliant action scenes of anime.

What's with the white patch on Maeno's head? I thought it was a bandage but you dont see it on his forehead.

For me, this is one of those cases of something being so bad it's good. And to be honest, it's not that bad. Its directed well, everything isnt spelled out to 10 year olds and its not so ambigious that its incoherent, the cliches are apparent but compared to other anime they're at a minimum, there's no constant flashbacks, the pace is good, I like the humour, the action's cool, overall I'm enjoying it and not taking it seriously. It's the equivalent of a pulp B-movie and it knows it.

The first episode was better, in my opinion. But more information is being given.
Also, having to kill the one you're urging for.... that's sad (and yes, I know angels kill the immortal women).

Loved the chess scene. :D

I thought the same thing. Why are they all carelessly passing that "marble" (the fruit) around ??? O_o

It could have got into Maeno and Yuki... And what? She's going to keep it?

Oh yes, Kugimiya Rie + loli lesbian = WIN.

Much better than the first ep imo. I started actually caring about some of the characters while in the first ep I was too annoyed by the boring and useless clone being the centerpiece of the story. Luckily, he's not as important in this one.

I actually think that this anime has some subtleties that one has to look for. The fact the girls are immortal and can't age and this series being so far set in the early 90's is significant. Why else bring it up otherwise?

I get the feeling the story is going to span over some years, and that the clone guy is going to grow old whilst Rin stays the same.

Man, shit was getting REALLY interesting.
And then the angel part comes. Goddamn fucking hell what the shit was that????

IT WAS LIKE SPIDERS HAVING AERIAL SEX WHILE EATING THE OTHER

That shit was fucked up. The director must have been really itching this whole time to throw in a blatant fanservice scene. And we have the author to goddamn blame. That was fucking awful. "We immortal women sexually desire angels physically."

Man that garbage was awful.

I was already able to look past the kissing and sex scenes because obviously, everyone loves sex, and that was very well portrayed in this anime.....

...UNTIL THE ANGEL CAME ALONG.

Man fuck dat shit aigh

Suspension of disbelief indeed.

Still going strong... I like it! I don't get poor reviews people are giving to this show! Ah well, I'm already used to it, some people are just knowledgeable as my left stocking on a good day. I understand they didn't read Kant (scene at the beginning where Senpai reads Critique of Pure Reason) but then they shouldn't write reviews!!! One rated this show with 4, the other with 3!?!? Just how stupid can you be, worse, not even be aware of the fact! Poor souls, I pity them...

I would like to know that as well... I was gave the impression he was just a normal guy visiting a "bad place" before becoming an angel.

After rewatching some scenes, I think he was a hacker paid by someone, probably Stamp, to get info about that big dude's political route. He realised that he got himself in big shit and after he became an angel he started murdering the "evidence" to protect himself and his sister.

and again I missed the connection between the murders and stamps and the angel thing. it's not that this is an anime that doesn't give you direct answers but it doesn't give you enough to think about.
some of the heavier scenes don't have a purpose other than just to make the anime heavier. i think the lesbian sex with the information girl was hot and coherent, but the others were unnecessary... i still don't know what the fuck was going on.
my problem is that we get a plot to solve, but mid episode, the story shifts to another direction and things get solved without us understanding a thing. it could be really good, if done well, but it isn't.
and what the fuck with this angel bullshit? they're made to have sex with the immortal girls and then they kill them??? that sounds like a bad hentai to me.
they're trying too many things at once and failing all of them. i still don't get where the anime wants to go. is it about the immortality stuff or the agency cases? we don't get enough information on either.

and it's not that i am a fanservice hater, but, if we take away all the fanservice, what do we get from the plot? that exactly.

Lol, so I was just watching Mirai Nikki earlier so when Apos started speaking I was like I KNOW THAT VOICE IT'S AKISE ARU XD Yep totally the same seiyuu lol. This episode was confusing but I still liked it more than the first. Sex scenes, angels, and a bit of explanation as to whole "Fruit of Immortality" thing ... yep. OK, and did Maeno always have that small patch of grey hair??? I didn't notice it at all last episode but it kept bugging me :S Mimi describing the "newest computer specs" was pretty funny too XD I don't quite understand how the Stamp murders and the angel were connected either, just that the stamp was being used to pay for the assassination ... oh well. So immortal women are attracted to the short-lived angels who want to pretty much kill them so they have to try and do it first ... welp :S

I like sex and gore as much as the next guy but the sex scenes felt rather forced because of the sheer amount of it without much reason to do so. The lesbian scenes were pretty good but I wasn't really in the mood to see it I guess. It's like yuri for the sake of yuri.

Despite getting really horny towards the meathead angel serial killer and whipping her boobs out of lust, she managed to impale him into a tree and that became the end of him. Considering how he got stabbed several times by blades, death by tree must be particularly humiliating. He got to go while eating her out so that's a plus though.

The whole stamp storyline was pretty out there and it had potential but Stamp the Contract Killer was felt like he was just shoehorned into the story and this came to that. It would've been better if they focused on introducing Apos more kek

I enjoyed this episode, but thought the first one was better.

I can't believe the amount of comments on here of people not understanding the whole deal with the stamps and their connection to the angel/whole story really.

Kouki meets the girl Yuki who is looking for an angel after her brother goes missing. Her brother was a hacker who started hanging out in a bad place and got tangled up with bad people. Those bad people wanted to assassinate a government official. The bad people got the hacker to find out which route the government official would be taking in town so they could figure out the best place to kill him on that route. The assassin only takes rare valuable stamps as payment for his kills. In the real world, the most valuable stamp ever sold was for $9.5M. It's pretty safe to assume that the stamp in this anime world would be really expensive too since it's the oldest stamp in Japan. Whether the assassin wants the stamp for his own collection due to its rarity or he wants to sell it for profit, it's still a lucrative payday.

As for the angel part, Apos turns the hacker into an angel. The hacker/angel knows that killing everyone connected to the assassination plot is the only way to protect his sister, Yuki. So, hacker/angel kills the government guy that got Rin to look for the stamp, a Russian pretending to be American, a hooker and a pimp that were used to lure him into the plot, another girl that was involved in the plot, and finally the assassin.

I thought the angel and stamp stories were woven together to provide a vividly clear picture of what was going on.

Mimi was really cute at several points during this episode. The angels' sexual aspect is pretty creepy, but I'm not saying it doesn't fit the story. This show is super pulpy with all of the torture porn and sex, but that isn't stopping me from enjoying it.

Lol, I feel like no one in the show appreciates Kouki Maeno's kindness. Then again, maybe he just never gets irritated on account of lacking emotions. But I feel like no matter how much his heart is put into something, his actions are usually received with indifference. I did like the scene with him and Mimi, though.

I think the premise of this episode was pretty damn hard to understand, but @leofiregod broke it down pretty good, and I've gained a newfound appreciation for the episode.

This episode was something else. It wasn't as good as the first one, especially for the actual substance in it but man oh man it just was so over the top with all the bullshit that I laughed and had a good time watching it, especially lost it when Rin was having a full-blown makeout session with Shogo, an angel in midair while she was trying to kill him during said process. Rin's an immortal and Shogo's a devil, so in this show, immortals lust whenever they see angels and angels want to devour immortals, that's why she was horny when seeing Shogo and Shogo constantly wanted to bite her and devour her.

The story had too much going on, trying to balance the supernatural nature of angels and immortals and teasing a lot on that front, to maintaining ground with a serious plot when trying to locate that stamp that the Professor had but lost when he was severely injured that felt underbaked, despite having some links with the supernatural content in angels when the hacker/Yuki's brother was turned to an angel. Plus tack on the yuri/sex scenes in the middle and you have a full on carcrash of an episode with events happening. But like I said, while the first episode was definitely better and more coherent, this episode was dumb fun and that's what I'm cool with from a show I call a pure guilty pleasure. Great music as usual too.

Can anyone explain why the angel was trying to get revenge? Literally have spent almost an hour trying to figure out the plot of this episode (hopefully the following ones aren't as confusing). Maybe I'm missing something but to me it felt like there were a lot of things left unexplained or were supposed to be "implied." So here's what I don't get:
1. Why does the angel want revenge against the people he killed?
2. What was the significance of the pimp and the woman being killed? In both the sub and dub (yes I watched both just in case there were some translation discrepancies that would be cleared up) it says that they were used to bribe the Foreign Ministry guy (who I understand wanted the pro-western Secretary General Androvsky dead) into cooperating and giving information, but like...what does that mean?
3. Who was the girl the Yuki's brother (the angel) got the files from? Was she the Foreign Ministry guy's lover? How was she in possession of the files in the first place?
If anyone could explain that would be great but I doubt anyone's gonna see this since it's not too popular of a show.
