Wow that was fast paced, some scenes didn't even get proper properly explained, but of course this was made for the F/SN fans/players so we all know what happened anyway and are watching to see our favorite fights get animated and we got what we wanted with some really nice fight scenes. I still think someone could watch this without any F/SN knowledge and find it to be a pretty good film, but it doesn't even begin to compare to the greatness of the F/SN novel route. The emotional weight behind the events that unfolded was almost completely missing (Shirou's backstory was left out until the movie was almost over and even then it was briefly explained (by the way the back story is what kicks off the F/SN novel)). I mean they did what they could fitting around 15-20 hours of material into a 2 hour movie and it really just seemed like they made it so the fans can see their favorite fights animated because this movie was a good 80% action. It really wasn't a good idea to cram all of this material into two hours in the first place, but I can appreciate this as a fan of the novel (though I can not even imagine how great Ufotable could do this route, man would that be something). Check out my Seasonal rankings and my Blog where I Rank the series airing in summer 2012 and just talk about the series in general. |

I think it's really funny how masters aren't supposed to be able to fight with servants equally, yet Shirou is somehow able to DEFEAT BOTH ARCHER AND FREAKIN GILGAMESH! WTF?! Oh well, I can't say I wasn't entertained with the movie. Fight scenes and animation were crazy! I'd recommend this movie ONLY to those who are big fans of the series and have at least seen the original anime. Otherwise you'll be completely lost within the first 5 minutes of the film! Uchihafan25 said: Archer vs Shirou: In the VN Archer stops before delivering the finishing blow hence allowing the opening for Shirou to kill him. It was more of a moral victory from Shirou than an actual victory and SHirou spent like 90% of it getting knocked around before Archer realized that he still believed the same bullshit Shirou did hence he allowed him to foolishly plod on and proved he could do better than he did. So no, SHirou didn't win, he was allowed to win... the ending pic of the fight even shows Archer with his two swords ready to rip apart Shirou but just stopped in the air, and the whole epilogue of UBW is basically Archer's PoV of his fight with SHirou where he literally gives up the fight.I think it's really funny how masters aren't supposed to be able to fight with servants equally, yet Shirou is somehow able to DEFEAT BOTH ARCHER AND FREAKIN GILGAMESH! XD Gilgamesh vs SHirou: Can't excuse this one, SHirou wins, no matter the Plot convenience you can throw at it, Shirou still wins. Gilgamesh is just an idiot. He was still going to be killed at the end though, but when UBW shatters away conveniently a portal eats Gilgamesh up. How...awfully convenient. That and when Gil still tried to drag himself out with his chain Archer gave him a sword to the head so yeah. Modified by Leon-Gun, 06-19-12, 4:36 AM |

Just rewatched in english, wasn't too bad! Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone. |

I thought fate only have one way ending, but after I watched this..AWESOME, I WANT TO SEE THE THIRD ENDING Aww man, There's no scene where shirou blocked Gilgamesh Enuma Elish.. just when he drew his Ea... anyway, this is far more better than stay night, but still, it's pretty funny how archer survived gilgamesh gate of babylon (as somebody in prev page said, maybe it's because of Avalon) and still he died in wasteland of blades in the future 9/10 from me Modified by Archlyte, 06-26-12, 12:27 AM |

Difference between main tv series: - Shirou x Saber or Shirou x Rin while Saber got two masters. - Last boss = previous enemy of Emiya or Gilgamesh (lol @ how weak is the last boss of TV series in here) - Archer's secret revealed in this movie. - "Seihai": Ilya or HiroC's character + Ilya's heart Some are similar, but how they happen are different: Caster's death, Saber vs Assassin samurai Cannot believe the personality of the servant who fought against Saber fairly got different. |

I was really disappointed. This movie wasn't as good as I thought, in fact, I hated it. I'm such a huge fan of Fate/Zero, even though I wasn't into the Fate/stay night's series, but it was 10x better than the movie. I know they both got different routes and stuff, but seriously, I really didn't like it. |

I think that I'm the only one here that actually loved the movie, I already watched the main series so even though the movie was really fast paced I understood everything about it, in fact I actually like this Route more than the version the Tv series went for, now don't get me wrong as a whole the tv series was much better. Still if the are more routes for Fate/stay night I would not mind seeing them animated. ![]() |

A bit messy, but I enjoyed it to some extent. At least the animation was great and I have a new found love for Tohsaka Rin. Still don't care much for Saber though. 7/10 |

Best comment I saw when I watched this on Youtube: "Lancers, they don't die when they are killed." Lol glad I played the VN first so that I actually understood what was going on. Harems don't exist in America. If one guy is constantly surrounded by beautiful girls, then he's probably the gay friend. |

Just shows you how weak rider was, 1 min of screen time LOL. Anyways this movie was a lot better than the series. I am a Saber fan, but I'm also a Rin fan. This movie had lots of action, and explained better, that archer was indeed shirou future self. I still knew this without even watching the movie just because of how shirou and archer looked similar and had same projection ability pretty much. |
