The type of otaku that I am? - I simply 'enjoy' anime, and the characters. - If it has beautiful and/or cute characters, and they are of interest, expect me to get a hold of most titles with this element. - Not a fan of complex and long-running anime series. - Likes 'moe' elements to a certain extent. Conclusion: Type AB otaku... |

Type AB... Dapat magnda ang art, story, characters... But mostly on story ako... Kapag pangit ang story kasi... Kahit sobrang cute ng characters... wla nmng patutunguhan ang istorya... I'll DROP it... At may mga ilan naman na kahit maganda nmn ang istorya... at ayaw ko nmn ang animation, voice actor, art, etc... Drop it!!! Noon puro anime ako... dahil boring ang mga action sa manga... dahil di mo ma feel ang labanan nila... At nung halos mapanood ko na ang lahat ng anime na gusto kong mapanoood... I was RESTLESS... dahil kailangan ko pa makabasa ng magagandang istorya... At di ko afford bumili ng libro... or gusto ko lang may picture... Hehe... Since wla n ko mapanood... Nagsimula na kong magbasa ng manga... At di ko lam na sobrang daming manga pala na mayroong istorya na gustong gusto ko at nasa panlasa ko... Simula nun... Both Manga and anime ang binabasa ko at pinapanood ko... At way before... Nakita ko ung Clannad na visual novel... Akala ko anime na compiled... dahil sobrang laki ng file... un pala laro na pala un... At simula nun... Naglalaro n rin ako ng VN... Anime + Manga + VN = Otaku XD Haha... Parang wlang kinalaman sa topic... And Question... Bakit sa japan... kapag otaku ka madaming may ayaw sayo... Pero kapag sa ibang bansa... Kapag otaku ka... Parang wla lang... Or... They don't consider you as an otaku?? Or is it because you think that you're an otaku but you're not really on the extent that of an otaku in japan... |

Or is it because you think that you're an otaku but you're not really on the extent that of an otaku in japan... actually its the same anywhere in the world. dahil ang anime ay nagmula sa cartoons, generally, it still is considered cartoons, at ang pag-enjoy at panunuod ng cartoons mostly ay pambata/pampalipas oras lang na gawain. otakus, being obsessed with anime are looked down upon dahil sa obsession nila sa isang relatively childish hobby to the point na it affects their lives greatly. Type B otakus mostly. Sa japan kasi iba ang work ethics nila at professionalism, malaki ang pagpapahalaga nila dun kaya ganun nalang ang tingin nila sa otaku - people who devote more of their life to their hobby/not-so-productive craft instead of being productive sa society. kaya naman mula sa pressure na dinudulot ng ganitong kaisipan sa kanila nagkaroon ng rise sa population ng mga hikkikomori/shut-ins sa bansa nila which is a serious issue. sa ibang bansa naman gaya sa atin, madaming tamad kaya DIGS LANG haha. jk. hindi naman kasi tayo kasing workaholic/seryoso sa pagiging propesyonal ng japanese, same goes with other countries. sorry sa medyo mahabang offtopic post, just throwing my opinion out there. :D  Only hope can give rise to the emotion we call despair. But it is difficult for man to live completely without hope. In other words, man has no choice but to live with despair as his companion. |

Type A ako..... Yun kasi ang napapapansin ng mga classmate ko...... kung may itatanong ung kabarkada ko kung ano nangyari sa bleach, lagi ko nasasagot..... sinasabi pa nila masyado na ako na adicted...  |

@DarkTempest tama. hindi lahat ng anime pambata. nariyan ang H. hohohoho. kidding. kaya nga may kanya-kanyang demographic. Seinen/Josei mostly aren't kiddie-compliant and tackles serious stuff most of the time. hence the noitaminA block on early mornings in Japan, kung kelan tulog ang mga bata. Only hope can give rise to the emotion we call despair. But it is difficult for man to live completely without hope. In other words, man has no choice but to live with despair as his companion. |

i'm probably under Type A. I like anime for being an ANIME. I like everything about it, i'm proud of anime.And yeah, "Evaluates anime based on direction, voice acting, art, etc" and "Hates shallow anime with no real content.". :3 |

Hmmmm.. parang wla ako sa dalawa.. hnd naman din ako na mimili ng anime na papanodin.. basta.. pasok yung story okie.. my araw n gus2 kung manood ng love story minsan action... minsan Mystere,Sci-Fi, Thriller.. Etc basta pa iba iba... pero hnd ako na nood ng naruto bleach and one piece nag babasa lang sa manga... ^^ gus2 ko kc yung mga hnd sikat na anime gaya ng steingate..chaos;head Druaga no TouThe Sword of Uruk Video Games ruined my life, good thing I have two extra lives.:D  |

Considered myself as AB otaku..... Kase it depends nmn s art and impression ng anime ang trip q ehh...but i personally dislike childish animes...i always consider animes, watch it for quite some episodes them decide which to drop...but still i watch about half way of it....as you can see on my list i've only dropped 2 animes so far....love them all!!!! that's all...(-_-) peace.. Time to show this Free World Leaders, i'm Three in a 3rd..I'm no longer scared now, i'm free as a bird      |

And yes, karamihan sa mga bagong-labas na sikat na anime, panay aimed at teenage audiences due to suggestive themes and language, not to mention slight to moderate sexual references. Take Seitokai Yakuindomo, for instance, napakaraming sexual references na maririnig from the female characters of Ousai Academy, na dating all-girls school na ginawang co-ed (kakaunti pa lamang ang mga lalaki dito; 28 males to 500+ females!). |

Still depends of the story usually pag nakita ko na maganda ang review sa series na yun, papanuorin ko na. Off topic: Anyway the word Otaku kasi generally in Japan means obssessed, hobby, or enthusiast in a certain thing. Hindi naman talaga sa Anime/Manga agad yun, pero pag titignan sa wikipedia parang iniba na nila ,parang In general na ang Otaku as Anime fan which ganun sana tlga para hindi kung anu-anu tinatawag sa mahihilig sa Anime like weird/freak/cosplayer/cartoon freak/lover(the hell to this!), and etc. Modified by idolsensei07, 06-19-12, 3:38 AM |
