 Credits to Kaitou for another great banner :D Notice: To make the game more interesting (and complicated), I've added Danger Zones and Special powers to the rules. Phases: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, End Game Game Setup Every player will be assigned a random piece on the chess board below. Each phase, lasting 24 hours, you may move your piece to a new square and so may everyone else in the game. There are 3 different pieces in 4 different colors and they move exactly like they do in regular chess: - The knight (♞) can jump 2 squares horizontaly or vertically and then 1 square to the side. - The bishop (♝) can move to any square in a diagonal line. - The rook (♜) can move to any square in a horizontal or vertical line. Board Setup To move your piece you must send me a private message, with the move you want to make, for example: "Move Green Springer from G4 to E5". If you move to a square on which another piece was standing, they will die regardless of where they moved to. If 2 players move to the same square, they will simply end up standing on the same square and cannot attack eachother. Even when you have died, you may continue discussing the game with other players. External communication such as PM's and skype is allowed and encouraged :D Medals Each player has 3 medals they can give to other players. To give a medal to another player, use the following format: [b]Give medal to (Player)[/b] You can give a medal to any player (including dead players) and at any time durring the game! The game ends when only one piece is left on the board. That player AND any players who has one of his/her medals win! The medals can thus be used to make alliances between players. Freezing Every phase, the players can vote for another player to freeze. To do so, use the following format: [b]Vote: (Player)[/b] Only living players or those that have been given a medal by a living player may vote! The player with most votes by the end of the phase won't be able to move that phase. If it's a tie between more players, then none of them will be able to move. Danger Zones For every player killed there will be new Danger Zones added to the board, which will be indicated by a yellow X. After 1 phase, these will change to a red X. All players standing on a red X will be instantly killed! The Danger Zone will spread from the corners and towards the center. Special powers Each player will be assigned a role in addition to their chess piece on the board. This provides special powers that no one knows about, except themselves. There are 6 different roles and 2 of each for a total of 12. Lovers: They must both win the game or they will both loose. They know eachothers identity from the start of the game. Haters: They must not both win the game or they will both loose. They know eachothers identity from the start of the game. Investigator: Can once during the game choose another player to know his/her role. Protector: Can once during the game choose another player to protect from getting killed by another player. If anyone attacked that player, they will simply move to that players location, but not perform the kill. Switcher: Can once during the game choose any two players to switch their position on the board. This overrides both of their movement that phase, however the switch cannot be performed if either of them is in the Danger Zone or getting killed by another player. Mayor: When voting for a player to freeze, their votes count double. This cannot be seen on the vote count. Sign up To sign up for this game, use the following format: [b]Join: (Username)[/b] When the sign-up list is filled, the 12 pieces and 12 roles will be randomly distributed using RNG and the game will begin. 1. The ability to give away Medals to other players is a core element to the game. It can be used as tokens of peace, in order to create alliances. Use them wisely/cunningly in order to get an upper hand. 2. External communication is allowed! Use this to secretly communicate with other players. You might even end up as the one pulling all the strings! 3. With Medals, you don't have to be alive in order to win as long as you can co-operate. Though, there can only be 4 winners, so don't get betrayed in the end! 4. Danger Zones and Special roles are new. Think about how to use these mechanics most efficiently! |

Phase 1  Once upon a time, there was a king who ruled upon all of the board. Except there were two kings and it was actually the queens who had all the power. The two kings had been fighting a war for years... no, decades!.. NO, CENTURIES!!! The war had been a terrible one and caused many deaths, so the kings decided to resolve their disputes, by conducting the first Chess Battle Royale. 12 of the most powerful and fearsome pieces ever carved was chosen and forced to fight each other to death untill only one was left. Whichever side, that piece belonged to would win the war and the other would surrender! However, when the game ended and only one piece was still alive, the two kings didn't quite know how to interpret the results. The kings were black and white, but all the 12 pieces had been colored. ... so they decided to conduct Chess Battle Royale II The game has now begun!
