| Excluding Pokemon, Dragonball and all the other stuff I watched as a kid I was on metacritic one day looking at game reviews and just randomly decided to check out the top movies. Saw Spirited Away listed on there and was like "wtf? this movie must be pretty damn good to be up here" .. I already liked Disney and other animated stuff so I figured I'd give it a shot. Absolutely loved it.. still my favorite movie. Now I'm thinking to myself 'wow.... anime isn't nearly as gay/nerdy as I originally thought... maybe I'll watch a show'. SAO was hot at the time... had to do with video games so I figured if I'd like a show at all it would be that one lmao. Watched it... thought it was ok or whatever but I knew the medium could be better... so I looked up better shows.. I wanted to see if I could really get something compelling out of anime. That's when I found out about Clannad. I never cried watching anything in my life... barely ever cried in my personal life doing it exclusively at funerals and other traumatic events.... marathoned Clannad from the Youtube app on Playstation in like 2 sittings and CRIED LIKE A GODDAM BITCH! lmao. Rest is history |

| My mom had some Sailor Moon vhs and a few other anime. She bought so Pokemon ones for us, and my grandmother would also record some other anime for us too. My brother and I would watch a few others like Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Big O, Inuyasha, One Piece, Digimon, Cubix, Yu Gi Oh, etc.. Later in life, somewhere around middle school when I found out what the internet was :v, I used some shitty sites(can't list them due to rules and what not) and youtube when I was still fresh into anime. |

The first anime I watched knowing it was an anime was Initial-D, I watched it off YouTube in late 2013, Funimation actuelly had the first 2 or 3 dubbed episodes up for free but after that they just had subbed so I switched the the sub and watched it on YouTube. |

| I don't remember which anime I watched first between Digimon Adventures, Hamtaro, Dragon Balls, Doraemon, Bubu Chacha, Magic Knight Rayearth or Beyblade since I was just 4-6 years old back then. They were being showed on a local channel dubbed, all at the same time during weekday and weekend mornings. But if you ask me which anime I really watched out of pure will, it'd be Pokemon when I was around 7 or 8. I faithfully waited for it on Toonami on weekday evenings and usually I'd sing along the theme song like crazy in my room hahahaha. Also along with Shaman King and Gundam Seed since they aired on Toonami around the same time. And if you ask me which anime is the first one I watched in original Japanese audio, it'd be either Air Gear or Gakuen Alice (Alice Academy), on a pirated DVD lol, and I say either because my sister and I bought both at the same time. |

When I was a child, I know nothing of internet, so TV is my only consolation in watching anime. I wake up early morning just to watch my favorite shows like Doraemon or Mirmo! among others! In the afternoon I turned again my TV to watch Beyblade or Naruto and so on! I watched Anime in dubbed with my own language but I thought it sucked, so I looked for DVDs with Jap audio to further watch more! |
