| I'm using my own custom css layout, and restyling the tags section into a mini-review section where it can be displayed in hover. But if I write a long paragraph in the tags section it would just eat up words and display partial of the text. Did MAL set up a word limiter in tags section? I've seen people with paragraph long and their text has not been cut off like mine. |
| This is odd - I just tested with my my longest entry and am able to add as much text as I want to.... ? (gave up when it reached three pages long) And no matter if I throw in commas or not. As far as I remember this wasn't so some time back, so I resorted to write into the "comment" field. I am not using any custom layout, so maybe the restriction for you is with that ? |

| I've just double checked and asking people around. Apparently there's nothing in the css layout code that limits the word count (css is just for restyling an existing list). So I suppose the problem is from MAL. I hope MAL's staffs can give me a proper answer. This has been driving me nuts. |
| My test did not survive overnight. Now the test text is back to little over 40 words. Seems longer text does not survive logout/ new session cookies or whatever such ... :( |

I've already asked around the club but that method is only a temporary fix and you literally have to hard-code everything by hand to your list (which isn't really ideal). I have hundreds of anime, that would make the code of my list looks terrible. I just MAL increased the word limit in tag-section by a little. They have the comment section but I don't see the point of using it because we can't customize it by css. |

| I reached the character limit in one of my entries and no matter how I edit it, the letters for the last word of my tags are chopped off. I thought there's another bug since the links and BBCode on the "More" section of anime and manga lists aren't clickable currently. So I checked using https://wordcounter.net/character-count and noticed I have 258 characters on that tag section. I erased a few characters and figured the character limit for tags is at 255. I tried adding a long paragraph with more than 500 characters to tag sections of other entries and I was able to add them just fine without any characters missing. But after refreshing the page, the tags weren't added. So I added the paragraph on the tags section through the "Edit - More" feature; I refreshed the page and several characters were missing, the tag section only showed 255 characters when I checked using the character counter. I remember reading somewhere in the forums back then that the character limit for tags is 250. 255 is close enough to 250. So the character limit for tags is probably ~250. |

Seriously, why is there even a limit?! At least increase the limit to 300 or 500. I ain't writing essays or paragraphs in the tags section; I just want to properly tag my lists so I can easily search for whatever in my tags legend/index in my blog.

My list lags when I just edit the notes section, so it depends if your list is resource intensive to your PC or to MAL's servers. |

| @_cjessop19_ Oh, so the tags also add to the lag even though they're just texts (or links). I thought the lag I'm experiencing is mainly because of my Notes with YT embeds and the images and GIFs in my CSS; I haven't thought the tags also contribute to that. Then how about increasing the 255 limit to 260, 265, 270 or 275 to add just a bit more character? Increasing it to 300 is gonna be that bad, huh? I'm not gonna add hundreds of tags to each entry, some will have a few tags and others with more... Hmm, yeah all those tags will add up to loading time... Ugh, if only MAL has a [better] tagging system. |
